This will be the true showing if Gasly has it or not now he will be outside the red bull umbrella.
Best thing that could happen to him, getting out of that toxic environment. I predict he will smash Ocon to pieces.

So Gasly and DeVries seem to be done deals, Sargeant to Williams and the only outstanding question seems to be if Mick stays or is replaced by Giovanazzi.

Brundle thinks he stays and unless he and Gunther really don't get on I tend to agree.

So as I thought weeks ago nowhere to go for Ricciardo unless it's replacing DeVries at Mercedes but even then would another of Toto's proteges be more likely?

1981?

Mick must be a target for Audi. He needs to bridge the gap till then though.

There were no full-time Germans in 1990 or '91.

But then, apart from Giovinazzi, there have also been no full-time Italians since 2011, and no full-time Brazilians since Massa retired in 2017.

Amazing considering the era I grew up in.

Mick is terrible, his performance yesterday when it get again counted was pish.

I’m sorry to say it but he doesn’t deserve a seat just because his father is disabled-I can’t see why people seem to think he deserves otherwise?

First time at Singapore in damp conditions with Steiner in his ear telling him under no circumstances bend it? He did fine.

He’s already proved quick enough in previous races to justify his seat IMHO. I can well understand him wanting to drive elsewhere though. HAAS is a shambles.

You either didn’t watch qualifying or weren’t looking at the times. His comparison with his teammate, a decent but not stellar performer were crap.

Well Alonso isn’t smashing his teammate to pieces so assume you think Gasly is better than Alonso ?

He probably is now, Fred is old.
I think both Alonso and Gasly suffer the same issue with failing to achieve consistent race results. Ocon has done a pretty sterling job imo as he himself has pointed out the only teammate that has done better against Fred was Hamilton with last year qualy being even stevens between them and only one place in the champoinship, I dont think Gasly will have an easy ride and any perceived benefit may well be lost due to friction between the drivers as both have said they dont get on and would prefer a different teammate , thats not a ringing endorsement

If managed properly it can be a massive drive forward for a team, to have two drivers that simply have to beat each other.
Ocon has a reputation of taking no prisoners with teammates. Otmar has previous experience with Ocon & Perez at Racing Point. And another thing: Ocon & Gasly used to friends but fell out.

I'm sure you'll be shocked to learn that there was a woman involved.

Ocon's mum? I thought they fell out when they were about 12.

Eh? Alonso is extremely consistent in his race results. Alpine have just been bad in terms of reliability this season.

There usually is, work of the devil.
I can’t remember which way round, but one of their girlfriends ended up seeing the other one. I believe there were suggestions that the timing wasn’t exactly clear on separation.
