Is it me or is she one of the worst hires Sky have made. Seems to offer very little in terms of insight into F1. Just seems to repeat back the question in a different way when asked for her opinion.
At Miami Danica Patrick was excellent
Never watched her programme on Monday night any good ?

I'm on the fence. Schiff seems enthusiastic which really comes across on screen. She may not have in depth knowledge but her enthusiasm already makes her easier to watch compared to other members of her team who often resort to banality and inane irrelevance. Not enough to make me watch the Monday show
As for Patrick, I completely disagree, she was woeful. Meandering, pointless and very limited F1 knowledge which really showed.
She made a lot of basic mistakes. She even managed to confuse Christian Horner with one of her clueless questions.
As for Sainz' face when she said "woooohoooo 2nd place, high five" after he got beaten by Charles in quali that is one of the best Basil Fawlty/ David Brent moments ever in F1. That moment should be a meme.
Actually quite interested what you thought she was good at? Apart from having nice legs.

Oh good, as if the Crofty thread isn't enough, we have to have one about Schiff now.
Shall we take the misogyny and racism posts, and the vehement denials as read and save having to read 80 pages of tripe
I didn't even think of it in that way but you're right. She's an attractive woman but I realised probably not the flavour that some like for obvious reasons.Shall we take the misogyny and racism posts, and the vehement denials as read and save having to read 80 pages of tripe

Hasnt she been put on TV by the FIA and not employed by Sky? That's why she always goes and stands with the FIA dignitaries during the national anthem before the start of every race.
That might explain why she was wearing an F1 necklace today. Struck me as odd for a Sky pundit.cc3 said:
people just can’t handle debate these days
Ok, lets have the debate"Is it me or is she one of the worst hires Sky have made. "
It is you, as not hired by Sky.
Thread done. Great debate, cheers for for teaching the long lost art, go pop Sky News Press Preview on and get angry at something else tomorrow !

Actually I was thinking today she is getting more confident in what she is doing and definitely improving.
I think her gender and ethnicity probably helped get her the job yes but if young girls see her on TV and it encourages them to get involved in motorsport then that has got to be good.
As a slightly self-defeating side-note, I thought she looked stunning in the black dress she was wearing today too

Completely agree and her approach seems very genuine which is a likeable quality. It was also noticeable after Monaco that she did push a couple of the interviewees to expand further on some of the subjects and then let them speak rather than interrupt. Not all the Sky team got that memo.I think her gender and ethnicity probably helped get her the job yes but if young girls see her on TV and it encourages them to get involved in motorsport then that has got to be good.

On the second point if more presenters look like her then I'll gladly take that over fat old white men

The "Crofty thread" is about a middle aged white guy and extends as you say to 80 pages.Shall we take the misogyny and racism posts, and the vehement denials as read and save having to read 80 pages of tripe
I doubt this one will get to 80 posts.

Watching LeMans seems better than F1. Cars that can follow loads of overtaking. No back markers having to jump out of the way. Top drivers pit stops with refuelling what’s not to enjoy. Drivers that talk to the press and don’t sulk. Makes F1 look drab
And no woke tv presenters just decent petrolheads
From the Baku thread… would Naomi be who you’re referring to? Just curious. And no woke tv presenters just decent petrolheads
