Channel 4 have stated she is a "Racing Supremo"..... Interesting.....
Channel just repeating what she told them on her CV...
Then they'll know that the most she's won is the Chinese Clio Cup championship...... a lot of supremo's come from that championship!!
Didn't even know there was such a thing as a Chinese Clio!
Crio... getmecoat

Just watched Naomi and Bernie presenting a bit on track limits. Naomi in baggy fatigues - nope! Bernie in a little blue dress and rainbow glitter pumps - oh yes!

To be fair she looks gorgeous most days. It’s just that she knows fk all about F1.

I don’t agree with these sexist remarks trivialising women and their appearance.
But, yes, you are correct smile

Also can’t stand Rosberg either but annoyingly his analysis/knowledge is often pretty accurate.
There might be a reason for that last bit, good to know that you think an ex WDC is pretty accurate in his knowledge of F1 and racing. hehe

Maybe a Naomi visual with a Rosberg voiceover and they've cracked it

I quite liked Jamie Chadwick on the Grid today. I wonder if she will draw the same amount of vitriol as Naomi seems to.

Unlikely, she understands the sport much better.

Love the way Jamie is lead female pundit today. Probably grinds NS's gears.

Not really surprising really, bearing in mind their comparative W-Series race results.

JC 412 pts + 3 championships

NS 2pts

Jamie infinitely more interesting to listen to as well.

Bit harsh, that wasnt aimed at you in anyway, it was aimed at the question asked, but its true, I've said before: Natalie Pinkham, Rachel Brookes, Lee Mckenzie et al don't have their own threads, but as soon as a woman of colour comes along she gets 40 pages.

It's not her colour people are commenting on, it's her unsuitability for the role she is employed to do. It's insulting to suggest the reason for this thread is racism.

The difference between those 3 and NS isn't the colour of their skin though, the 3 mentioned above are all qualified and well regarded journalists who are excellent at their job. NS is woeful at the job she's been given and shows no signs of improvement. Whether that reason is her ignorance or the people who should be telling her how improve behind the scenes aren't doing their jobs properly either remains to be seen

They aren’t presented as expert pundits.

The issue throughout as been about credibility. Though some are quick to trot out a race or gender issue.

She has very junior Motorsport experience and the ‘analysis’ she does provide isn’t very good in my opinion with little in the way of interesting questions when speaking to people. ‘How important will it be to push on the first lap’ to Fernando Alonso, errrrr quite important.

I’ve watched F1 for 30 years, know the rules, understand the racing and can read strategy. Line me up to comment and I’d fully expect to be slagged off for lacking any credibility when stood next to champions and serious ex racers.

Spot on, we should be comparing Schiff's CV to Jenson Button, Karun Chandhok, Ant Davidson, and others that are employed in the same role. And as soon as you do that, you see how horribly under-qualified she is. I honestly think most of us could offer more insight than her. People would rightly question our bona fides, but at least we'd show some knowledge of the sport.

I did think of suggesting that if it weren't for all the white knighting (based purely on a belief that everyone else is sexist/racist rather than any defence of her performance/ability) this thread would be over inside 2 pages. And then I remembered there's another thread here where PHers are complaining about a middle aged white man that's significantly longer than this one. You'd have to be fairly short-sighted to suggest criticism of Schiff is based on a bunch of -isms.

I think we all know why she is there and it has very little to do with the fact she has driven a race car, that is just the foot in the door, the rest of it is about lots of other things, very little to do with racing a car.

If you think about it, it is reasonable. The vast majority of women being pushed into cars they cant drive are also similarly under qualified so she is in fact representing women in motrorsport pretty well.

At least in other sports you get womens world cup winners or the like, but we cant have that in motorsport so the talent pool has to go very far down the ladder., even more so when the paymasters want to tick boxes more than just racing, you have to also understand if she was any good she would be racing something! So she is infinitely available!
