It's not her fault but she should not be there. They should not have put her in such an awkward position.
It's like having an ex Conference/National League South footballer discussing a Champions League match from the players' perspectives.
That happens as well though - lots of former women footballers are now employed as pundits on Champions League and Premier League games even though there are plenty of former male players who've actually played in those competitions and would be better placed to provide informed insight. But as with the likes of Naomi and Danica we know why they're there, it's just the world in which we now live....It's like having an ex Conference/National League South footballer discussing a Champions League match from the players' perspectives.

The answer of course is they're used simply because they're women and it's seen as a good way of promoting diversity and inclusiveness; some agree with that approach, others don't but like I say it's the world in which we now live.
I wouldn't have any problem with Naomi not having relevant experience herself, if she knew what she was talking about. Unfortunately she comes from the school of bullst and doesn't know when to say i dont know.
Danica is getting better, she does have enough experience at racing single seaters at the pointy end to contribute, she is also learning the European terminology used in F1. It's also entertaining to see how she winds up button, who is a dull pundit.

Well I think Red Bull are currently championing women's rights............JNW1 said:
At one of the F1 races last year (Las Vegas if memory serves me right) Jenson Button and Danica Patrick were involved in an argument/discussion which ended with Patrick conceding the point by saying words to the effect of "you've driven an F1 car and I haven't". At the time I thought fair play to her for saying that but it also left me thinking why is Sky employing someone as an expert pundit on F1 when she's never competed in the sport? I know the answer of course but (IMHO) it's a poor do when someone's employed because of their gender rather than the expertise and insight they bring.
I really hope these two got themselves a hotel room and fked! The sexual tension between them was unbearable.Sky don't seem overly fond on requiring a member of their on screen 'talent' having experience in the sport itself. Those with first hand experience seem to be getting sidelined whilst box tickers make up the primary talent. What ITV & BBC offered is a distant quality memory. After giving their coverage a chance this year, I tune in just as the sessions starts so I don't have to ensure Simon's cockended-ness and Naomi's privileged rich tt condescendence now that they regard her as their lead pundit.
I'm glad I am no longer paying for Sky's coverage and relying on 'Nigerian friends' to provide access, because if I was paying for the dumb-dumb Simon, the rich privileged box-ticker that lacks experience to act as a professional pundit, the Hamilton fanboy pit reporter, Mercedes F1 employee commentator and shouty lad's bantz commentator that mistakes minutes for seconds I would be livid. Danica may bring awkward American robotic sports presenting to the coverage but she at least has first hand experience as a driver.
Sky are going to be stuck in a predicament next year, do they dicksuck Hamilton at Ferrari or dicksuck Wolff?

She always looks like she has stepped out of the Met Gala. Oh and that awful fake posh accent….
Fake posh? Nah that accent is a result of being a privileged tt that has lived life on easy mode thanks to their parent's money, like Schumacher, Brundle, Palmer, Chadwick & the Chiltons of the world.540TORQUES said:

To know what she was talking about would require her to have relevant experience, as 99% of pundits usually do. She is just a privileged rich tt that got a job because she ticked boxes and now has to bullst her way through a job she is vastly unqualified for.Danica is getting better, she does have enough experience at racing single seaters at the pointy end to contribute, she is also learning the European terminology used in F1. Danica has first hand knowledge of top level motorsport even if it is American. Her problem was treating the job as if it was providing American TV coverage despite it being very different to the superior and lesser commercialised coverage we expect in the developed world outside of the US.
