Christ can we either move on from 2021 OR use the well trodden 2021 thread for discussion on that topic?
Watching the F3 race at the moment, nice wet track at the Hungaroring. Might be fun if it stays wet for F1 quali.

New F1 and FIA campaign to get all the fans to be nice to each other, at the track and online.

Max says he "prefers" his rivalry with Ferrari and Charles Leclerc to the World Championship battle he had with Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes last season.

Yup, cos it's easier for him biggrin
.....because the huge gulf is not exposing the c h i n k s in his armour that led to Max parking his car on Lewis' head, running Lewis 6 car widths off the track, brake testing Lewis when he was right behind him and damaging Lewis' aero. Then, having to process and legitimise to himself the final ignominy of having to have the rule book thrown out by Masi in order to manipulate the WDC* his way...

"Prefers 2021 to be forgotten" was probably the thought that never reached his his lips.
And the counterpoint, Bottas taking out Max in Hungary, Hamilton putting him in the wall at Copse, Hamilton not giving the place back in AD..... we could go on but let's not biggrin
You did raise the points PiaP:

1) Bottas taking out Max in Hungary - at the start, 1st corner, in the rain and, indirectly, through tapping Lando.

2) Hamilton putting him in the wall at Copse - On the first lap and Max was also considered partially to blame by the stewards.

3) Hamilton not giving the place back in AD - what was the ruling again? Oh yes, "incident involvin........."

But, you are right..... we could go on but let's not biggrin

I deleted my post as looking more closely I don't think there is enough quality footage to support that it was LH merchandise, at least that I could see.

As did I, on further digging it seemed like an isolated incident.

Don't the Hungarians have a bit of a problem with racism in football? Wasn't there an England v Hungary match where black England players were abused by the crowd?

Being reported by Jennie Gow, hopefully, an isolated incident.

The circuit was almost dry by the end of the F3 race, but around a 60% chance of more rain to come.

Hungary is one of those venues which is not for me because of the discriminatory attitudes which pervade nationally. I am sure any drunken racists, misogynists, homophobes and merchandise burning types who have travelled to the circuit feel right at home.

Of course there are many such venues on the calendar.

It dried out quicker than usual due to the amount of Lewis merch being burnt... biggrin

First time at this GP and it's hard to imagine they have run this race for many years yet the transportation is woeful. 45 mins queues to buy a train ticket (could they not have extra staff selling them) and in the 30 mins we waited for a train, two sat in the platforms completely rammed and didn't move anywhere. Decided to give up and go watch it in the hotel. Yesterday we drove out and that was reasonable getting in, but complete madness getting out.. maybe we are too old and impatient for this !!

If the guy had just slapped him surely his arms would be in a different position to the first photo pre slap?
