And remember the Russian GP 2014, months after the annexation of Crimea. There was that disgraceful joke of a man , Ecclestone, cosying up to his new friend Putin , and enthusing how Putin 'gets things done '. Cue deafening silence from F1 press .

Ask most F1 drivers what a Uighur was and they'd probably nominate a suspension component, so blinkered are they . And need to be, now so many teams are part owned by kleptocrats and the ...err ..sovereign wealth funds of regimes like the journalist murdering Saudis. Allegedly.
and we shouldn't forget that Mercedes are not innocent here, with the Chinese Government owning the largest "individual" shareholding in Mercedes-Benz. All via their trojan horse BAIC.

Maybe Rus / Ham are unaware of their paymasters ?

Yet more absolute twaddle from the master.

9.98% of Daimler AG is owned by BAIC. Daimler AG owns 1/3rd of the F1 team, therefore 9.98% of 33.3% = approx. 3.3% of the F1 team. I have yet to come across anybody who would describe a 3.3% holding to be the paymaster.

Try again Sparta, I enjoy destroying your pathetic attempts.

I stated Mercedes.
I did not state Mercedes F1 wink

However you choose to slice the dice Mercedes are contaminated, and it's well worth a close up by Joe Dunn.

Both Bahraini royalty and its government hold stakes in McLaren. There's been next to no criticism when football clubs have been easy targets for sportswashing.

Something for you to think about, Sparta6:

Red Bull GmbH is 51% owned by a Thai family, Thailand of course does not have a very good human rights record, in fact, similar to China with torture and enforced disappearances. Red Bull GmbH are 100% owners of Red Bull Racing, therefore 51% control, and therefore paymaster, of Max and Sergio is Thai.

In my book 51% is far more significant than 3%.

Also, Chaleo Yoovidhya, the founder (I know he died in 2017) was a member off the Thai Senate, so therefore part of the Government. The family sits within the top 50 wealthiest in Thailand so likely still has a lot of influence.

Careful with your righteous accusations

Your beloved Schumacher raced a Ferrari sponsored (and therefore funded) by Asprey Jewellers, at the time owned by the Brunei Royal family

I'm sure I don't need to remind you of Brunei's somewhat notorious reputation for religious rights, women's rights and LGBTQ rights including, but not limited to, homosexuality being illegal and punishable by death by stoning.

I wonder if MS knew of his 'paymasters' activities?

Wait until you hear what Britain did around the world in the 1800s, which obviously funded BRM, Lotus and Vanwall…..

why do you care though?

Why single out Mercedes - with global capitalism most multinational companies will have done business with another who might have some dubious links. The checks in place to stop anything illegal only go as far as sanctions, ultimate ownership and politically exposed people for directors, etc. If a company is wholly or part state owned but passes those checks then only a few companies would put morals above profits and decline to do business with them. Not saying that's right but wondering what high ground you are preaching from?

Or is it just to stir on here to get a reaction?

Sparta is well known to be anti Mercedes and anti Lewis. Any opportunity to stir is taken, usually totally trivial BS, such as this one.
