Seems that Red Bull have now released a statement admitting that “mistakes were made” regarding Team orders in Brazil.

But, bizarrely to me, they claim that Max was only given the order to switch back with Perez on the final corner.
I was under the impression he was told at least 3 times…..

Typical. Do not believe what you’ve seen and heard. The truth is what RedBull say it is.
Like the scene from Shooter

Trump would be proud!

As I predicted....RBR put out a statement essentially backing max and glossing over his refusal.
Lol!

"We had not envisaged the situation that unfolded on the last lap and we had not agreed a strategy for such a scenario before the race,” they said.

Max literally said it was talked about before the race and he had already told them no! Do they think we are idiots?

And of course, the fans are bad, with presumably no encouragement from RB...

Plus, does it matter when he was told?

You get an instruction from your employer; you do it.

Too much tail trying to wag the dog in modern drivers and Max isn’t the only one.

The thing about the use of quotation marks in English grammar is that they are intended to convey a direct quote.

I don't think the 'employer/employee' relationship where elite athletes are concerned is quite the same as you'd imagine for a bricklayer.

Naturally, you can prove or disprove anything with stats: but curiously, Hamilton & Verstappen seem to have a similar number of overall DNFs due to collisions/pile ups. That discounts the fact that Hamilton has almost double the number of starts, though...

It doesn't answer the "who hits who" question.
Max has a huge number of penalties for collisions...would be far more if others did not steer away...

Since 2014.... Lewis has caused 3 collisions: 2015; 2020; 2021

Accumulated Total: 2014 - Present: 12 penalty points total.

Current Points: Zero

Since 2015 (was not in 2014 season).....Max has caused 7 collisions 2105; 2017; 2018(2); 2021(2); 2022

Accumulated Total: 2015 - Present: 30 penalty points total.

Current Points: Seven (Four points for collisions with Lewis in Italy 2021 (Top Hat) Saudi (brake test){EDIT}, and Sao Paolo 2022)

Please stop abusing RB with video evidence to show they are making stuff up, it’s not fair on their mental health.

Amazing RB think they can fool people with this rubbish. Max was told several times that they would be looking to let Perez through, then when they asked he said no. It certainly wasn't late as they claim, wasn't it two laps before the end? was discussed before the race... etc

After their overspend and lies, even more lies...

Exactly. The first thing I thought when reading that statement was that I must be misremembering them sending several direct orders to Verstappen, well before the last corner. But no, it's Red Bull, lying and gaslighting AGAIN.

This team really is rather difficult to admire.

I think we should all step back and take a good, hard look at ourselves. If you think Max was told "if you cannot get past Alonso, give the place back to Checo" then think again. You've got a nerve even suggesting differently!!

Gone from mental to physical on this one...if anything is to be believed

I think most normal people understood the use inverted comma's around a synopsis of a statement that was made. I'm sorry if you couldn't understand it.

Would you like me to explain what the post was meant to convey? Otherwise I'm not sure of the point of your post?

Indeed - so roughly twice the number of races, yet less than half the number of penalty points from less than half the number of collisions...I wonder what that might suggest... confusedscratchchinidea

Well, I am not a Max fan, in fact I like anyone else but him. BUT I reckon it shows that the FIA are biased towards Lewis because Lewis never gets punished. Or it it that Mercedes have bought out the FIA< you saw how they treated Lewis last year and robbed Max of three WDCs in the same season which is what he deserved because he is super talented. Not like Lewis who only wins because of the car and who has a team mate who is not allowed to race him.

And when the Media show Max's radio calls, this is actually edited to show bad things, whereas with Lewis they always make it sound great...

But anyway as I say I am a fan of *insert any driver or team other than Red Bull/Max here*

Am I doing this right?
