Danny Ricc goes to Aston Martin after the Alonso/Stroll senior’s relationship implodes.

I think Yuki Tsunoda and Zhou Guanyu will continue to unimpress in 2023 and will most likely be let go unless there is literally nobody else to replace them.

I can see the pairing of Gasly and Ocon not going well and they will collide several times this season.

I think it is going to be a pretty boring silly season unless the 2023 Mercedes is an absolute dog and Hamilton decides he has had enough.

I am hoping that Alonso is going to destroy Stroll in the Aston, but there is an outside chance it will all go horribly wrong and he may retire as well.

I have a sneaky feeling that Ricciardo will get a drive in 2024.

Zhou Guanyu was pretty good. Look at the qualifying gap to Bottas close through the year, plus for a rookie he didn't crash much so saved the team money. I think he has at least 2 more years.

Mick becomes the main Merc man, after Lewis retires obvs. He then wins his first WDC with this beast of a car, making George look really really plain.

CLC is again in the mix, just about finishes second in the WDC.

Max and RBR relationship implodes, he just about manages to finish 5th.

OK ... I'm going to go for something rather leftfield ... Bottas or Danny Ric to replace Carlos Sainz at Ferrari. biggrin

The 2023 season starts and it's a 3-team fight at the top, with Ferrari, Merc and Red Bull all very evenly matched. In an effort to secure top spot and stop any infighting, Fred comes straight out and names Charles as the team's number 1 driver. Carlos doesn't like or accept this, and carries on fighting (over ruling team strategy calls during races, etc.) to achieve the best results he can. Internal tension threatens to completely implode the team and it's announced that Carlos will be leaving the team at the end of the year "by mutual agreement".

That leaves Ferrari looking for a solid, unspectacular, number 2 driver to back up their golden boy Leclerc. Unfortunately for them ... Red Bull kind of have that market sown up at the moment. Therefore Fred looks to someone he's worked with before, who's been wingman to a team superstar before ... and offers Bottas a nice fat contract to be Charles' rear gunner ... big ex-Sauber reunion at Ferrari. smile Alternatively, Fred gambles on picking up a very grateful Danny Ric for absolute pennies on a very restrictive number 2 driver contract and hopes that he's not quite as st as he seemed during his McLaren career.

All highly unlikely ... but not completely implausible.

Apparently Andretti F1 wants to bring Cadillac with them. Which would be cool.

I’d love to see Mario Binotto join red bull or Mercedes as a consultant just to stick one up John Elkann!

Is the the F1 equivalent of Ed Miliband or Liam Gallagher, i.e. the less talented brother?

I can't think of many worse brand names to bring in, but if GM are behind it then they do carry considerable R&D and financial firepower and I guess it is one way to redefine a brand.

They're entering the LMDh prototype series so F1 seems logical from there, they wouldn't be coming into F1 completely blind.

I hadn't seen that. OK, so they are trying to convert a legacy brand into something new... there are worse ideas.

Not forgetting the three IMSA championships and four Daytona 24H wins since 2017.

As much as I applaud GM for taking the next level, LMDh is nothing compared to LMP1 or Hypercar let alone F1. Spec hybrid in the former and greater freedom in the latter. I've heard Ferrari's Hypercar uses similar technology to F1 and Antonio Giovinazzi is a shoe-in driver.
