So, can anyone explain how Ferrari are having problems with the engine ecu, seeing as its a standard part used by all teams - or is it another bit? Packaging again, getting too hot?

Didn't they have similar issues in 2020?
Are they having problems with the engine ECU? It was the energy store in Bahrain?

Testing the board in the media centre, they have put drivers into different teams, except Stroll biggrin

And they have brought Latifi and Ricciardo back.

Why are there only 19 driver positions?

I might miss this due to moral reasons.

My mum got me out of bed for James Hunt winning in Japan in 1976.

Missing this as my Generation X snowflake side showing.

Over and out.

Is it bad to hope that a certain Dutchman again bins it in qualifying, therefore starting out of position and giving us a small chance of a good race?
I'd rather he binned it badly enough that he didn't reappear until say Qatar.

Would make the championship fight a little closer but he'd still win.

Correct, it was the energy store (battery and associated electronics) rather than the ECU; in other words very much non standard parts!

To have a penalty in round 2 is peak Ferrari.

Are you going to skip the US GP as well - they have the death penalty?
Or Japan with a 99% conviction rate and the death penalty?
Or the UK with it's appalling record of colonialism?

Everyones moral compass is different, I'm provoking as to what is different here?

A grid penalty for the second race due to parts used is pretty good going.

That is quite an achievement.
Just shows the rules are a bit naff if we're at penalties on race 2.
I agree, they've taken a front running car out of the competition of the race already. Everyone loses out. How far will we be into the season before half the grid is serving penalties? It's all got a bit excessive. I understand why they do it but the execution needs looking at
Opposed to grid penalties in this new cost cap world would a fine not be more suitable? less money for development.
