Watched a reply of a few laps and realised that drs doesnt start until the 2nd lap

I thought it was after 1 lap?

So once lap counter goes to 1 then you get drs so the activation counts from detection zone before start finish straight?

I noticed that too, and wondered why. It should be after the first lap is completed.

Thinking about it, in Japan there was only 1 DRS zone, and the trigger point was before the finish line, so it couldn't be active at the end of the first lap, because the trigger for it was before the first lap was completed.
