Papa Stroll is involved in Motorsport since karting JUST because he wants to make Lance a world champion. Even in the court documents during the Force India bankruptcy Lawrence Strulovitch mentioned that his investment was solely to improve his son’s chances.

Unless Lance himself gives up, he will always be driving in F1.
Lawrence Stroll has been involved in motorsport since before Lance was even born, he's raced Ferrari's in the past and was responsible for Tommy Hilfiger sponsoring the F1 team in the 90's

Oh yeah, you are correct. I meant he was involved specifically with the dream to make Lance a F1 world champion.

He owned Tommy Hilfiger and also raced at the Ferrari Challenge North America. Ferrari of Montreal dealer was once owned by him as well.

It's not 'MAYBE', it's CERTAIN. Lawrence's obsession in making his son world champion comes from the karting times. Just to give you an example:

etc.
Thanks for all that, I didn’t know those details!

Tommy Hilfiger started sponsoring Lotus in the early 90s (Herbert, Hakkinen) as a gateway into F1 sponsorship initiated by Stroll.

I bet once a year - on the Grand National. Normally it’s very simple, I lose and forget about it for another year. This year is complicated - I won and there is money in my online account.

So I looked at means of losing my winnings in the Chinese GP. If I bet on an RB the odds are so rubbish that I’ll get my money back and that’s about it. I’ve gone E/W on Alonso at 66/1. Then I noticed Stroll was at 500/1. It also seemed worth an E/W punt on the assumption that once in a while Lance remembers he’s an F1 driver - although I’ll probably regret it.

There’s a fair few journeymen around at the moment. Hopefully with the very busy silly season this year, a few of them get shuffled off and we can see some new talent coming through from the junior series.

The much lauded Olli Bearman was 6th in F2 last season. None of the five above him got an F1 drive.

Of the ‘22 F2 championship, the only driver to move up was Logan Sargeant from 4th place, although ‘21 did produce Piastri and Zhou.
None of them were worthy of moving up imo. It was a very weak f2 grid. This season though far better.
