George has been driving a Williams at the back of the grid finishing last or second last for two years. A Renualt would feel like a masterpiece by comparison.
In that case Alonso is now driving a masterpiece, and will win the WDC sparta6 said:

The Mercedes is a good car. It won races. Of course George was going to say it was good.
"Good car"Now try playing it down
But not unique in terms of performance.
I don’t know if you’ve actually watched F1 pre-2014 but there’s been great cars before. 2010-2013, 2004, 2002, 1996-1997, 1992-1993, 1988, to name but few.
Relative to its current competition, the Mercedes is not head and shoulders above any great car before it.
It is not just a socket into which you screw a light bulb to drive it and win races, to paraphrase Williams F1.

But Bottas might want to start getting his elbows out soon

Bottas has accomplished most of his trophy cabinet against the most successful driver in F1 history.
Think that was Barichello;-)Exige77 said:

Was considerably tighter with Rosberg and Button.
Toto manager cock-blocked Riccciardo from Bottas seat. Shame really, would have been more interesting at the front

I was quickly bored with Schumacher dominance.
Tight battles at the front are much more preferable.

Once Hamilton retires do we think Verstappen has enough time left to beat his records? With Hamilton out of the picture I seriously cannot see anybody being able to challenge Verstappen.
Verstappen is still only 23 and Hamilton is 36.
Depends on his timing with changing teams.Verstappen is still only 23 and Hamilton is 36.
Hamilton, as we know, timed it perfectly.
As it stands, Verstappen could have 17 more years in the sport, given Alonso and Raikkonen have gone on until they’re 40.
Plenty of time to get a lot of championships if you have the right car.
