Silverstone Sunday Service 16/03
Join us at Silverstone in a couple of weeks (with track time too!)
Silverstone are able to offer a great opportunity for you to have tour of the circuit for just £30 finishing with a high octane passenger drift ride on their autotest course by an instructor in a Caterham. The tour will allow you to take a unique behind the scenes view of the circuit that was first used in 1948, with plenty of photo opportunities. Stand on the top step of the podium, dream of following in the footsteps of the F1 stars (possibly) and get a closer look at legendary sites around the track.
The format remains the same as normal Sunday Services; arrive for 0900, show your PH smiley (emails will be sent beforehand) and park up to ogle other cars, chat with fellow PHers and get some breakfast throughout the morning.
To reserve your space on the calendar, click here and to book your time on track and your circuit tour, call the circuit on 01327 320298. Spaces always fill fast so make sure you sign up ASAP. Once confirmed, don't forget to add our Dream Drive route to Silverstone in your Sunday Service itinerary.
Finally, Silverstone are happy for PHers to help out with Sunday Service if you wish. Drop me a line at nathan.lowndes@haymarket.com if you want to get involved.
Terms and conditions for the track sessions can be found here, please make sure you read them as we wouldn't want you to be turned away.
See you there!
Thanks to y2blade for the pic.
NB - If you have paid and booked track time, please remove your name from the Sunday Service calendar. Parking will be provided for those going on track.
[A bit scared, I did this session last year but with an instructor, going to be brave and go solo this time. Cue the slowest Lotus you'll have ever seen. ]
Just booked on - a suggestion from a friend who's also going. I'll be in a Clio 197 and him in an MX5.
Looking forward to it! Few Q's..
Insurance - got off the phone with REIS and they quoted £75 (I'm 20 so that wasn't as bad as I was expecting), granted it's only a short session. Also, helmet hire?
I'd be driving on my own.. what's the deal with instructors and whatnot? The only close experience I've had to this was a driving experience day in a Cayman/F430 round Thruxton.
Thanks!
Jeron
