Got that email....very tempted indeed.
I'm very tempted! Will be a great day. Is your golf standard? It looked mean!

Thanks, no it's not.
It's had some suspension work (Bilstien/Eibach package) and LSD fitted with the usual associated hardware for Revo stage 2+ tuning. Has Audi S3 brakes also.

I was on Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres which aren't optimal for track use on a car that weight, I have Michelin Pilot Super Sports ordered to go on some light weight wheels I have but the tyres won't arrive till the end of April.

If it wasn't such a lard arse it'd get away with less power! :-D

I've also got this email from S'Stone about the 10th April. I'd love to do it but £287 seems like a huge amount of money! Doubt there is a half day option either...

There's a £109 full day open pit lane session at an airfield somewhere in Wiltshire (Can't remember the name - it's on Trackdays.co.uk) this Saturday... tempted... but it's a 100dB limit.

theres a lot more circuits and airfield days available for less than half the cost of Silverstone, thay do seem to be a bit elitist in their pricing!! 10% discount and they think they are doing you a deal

I have uploaded a video of some of the cars leaving the event. Sorry if I didn't capture your car.

I've booked the full day on the 10th with my dad most likely in the gt3. Anyone else attending? They did say if we had two more people booked in from pistonheads they will reserve a pistonhead garage for us to park in.

As much as I'd love to, it just feels like too much money.

I suppose, compared a random airfield, there will always be a premium to drive on a GP circuit.

Not the best quality but here are some Slo mo's of the other M3s in the latter sessions......sorry I was very M3 bias. I've never tracked my M3 before this SS and I have to say I was very impressed. I WILL be doing it again!!
Thanks for capturing my car (white competition package). Here's my video of the 1045 session - the M3 is a fantastic all-rounder:

Nice catch at 18:00 ;-)

I'm enjoying the session videos from the onboards.... I've been timing the laps as cars go under the gantry on the start/finish line, LOL!!

Very tempting as I'd like to get the Trophy on track (prior to my Nurburgring trip) but also as it was remapped yesterday to 314bhp / 350lbft so would be nice to give it a blast smile

Thanks, was really chuffed with my best laptime of 1m10.4s (not the fastest, but all things considered), which was captured using my M laptimer app:

Did anyone capture anything of the Corrado (C6 VRG) in the first session? Less said about me losing it the better!

Here's the Session 1 9:00am footage taken from inside my car - Red Noble.
My son Adam posted this within the 'pictures' thread but it's easy to miss:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tNVq0gV0OjM

Your Corrado features at least once, as well as many of the other cars on track at the time.

Edited to add - just realised it's the footage that si xsi posted. Sorry for the duplication.

No worries, thanks to Adam for sharing it. Yes mine is completely standard, i have thought about a cheeky map but to be honest i will be selling at the end of the year and would rather keep £500 for the next car!

How about yours, im sure i overheard someone say there was a corrado on track with an R32 engine under the bonnet - not yours?

Fair enough, they're good motors either way smile.

Yeah mine's the R32 engined one, but if you were wondering, I was taking it carefully after the disaster of a first lap frown.
