Cracking Sunday Service, lots of good stuff there. Curious as to what happened to checking off attendees on way in (unless this is now MUCH slicker than it was at MB World)?

Thought I was going to get sneaked in amongst the McLaren parking area on the way in as I'd got wedged between a couple but for some reason my little mini was discretely directed elsewhere... biggrin

Big thumbs up to the guy with the beautiful green AM V12 who, unprompted, kindly opened up his car and let my other half sit inside. Top gent, top car!

Thanks to the PH team for organising the event again.

I would have though there would be some interest in manufacturers or trades stands at an SS of this magnitude in the future. Have 1000 plus petrolheads in one place must be an attractive proposition for someone? Also it would give us something else to look at?

Noooooooooooooo

The minute you start doing that it becomes one big advertisement.

I get enough advertisements on the forum laugh

Happy to attend SS at a car manufacturers plant or something. Maybe we can get one done at Prodrive, I'd love a tour...!

Looking forward to seeing 2017 calender if it's not already out.

Another great Sunday Service, as others have said, there is something special about this one. After a long discussion with my seven year old, we have decided that car of the day was the Datsun 240Z.
An amazing assortment of metal(and fibreglass, carbon fibre etc). A special thanks to the kind owner of the DB11 who let me sit in it and generally have a good poke around.
Thanks to all those involved in organising it.
It wasn't this one was it by any chance? If so I'm truly honoured as the proud owner biggrin

That's the one.

That was indeed a lovely piece of car and still within the reach, financially, of a lot of people. Although not for long I think, lots of talk when I was hovering around taking photos, about the 240Z being the next "buy one before the prices go insane" car.

Already found a couple of videos from yesterday.

One obviously from AdamC (Adam Canfield) of cars leaving.

And then there's Seen Through Glass (Sam) whose made a fantastic video & called PH SS's The UK's Cars & Coffee. I think I agree with him on that. He is a very nice man to talk to too, shame I only saw him for approx 1 minute just after I arrived.

Enjoyed the morning.
A bit confused about the 'rules' though. I was one of the 800 on the list but when we arrived we were directed into the car park. I had presumed that being one of the 800 meant you can park on track, or in paddock. Will get there earlier next time I guess.....

The orange 240Z was my car of the day too, amazing condition.

I arrived there around 09.30 and went straight into the paddock. It seemed as though a lot of people had already gone . It was foggy and of course cold so parking was not a problem.

Thank you Pistonheads and Goodwood for an excellent weekend. It was my first time visiting Goodwood and Saturday's track day was awesome, everyone really friendly and the track one of those places that makes the rest of the world disappear. The little Alfa felt so happy and content charging round and saved me from falling off the track more than once. The sounds of the other cars going flat out up the start finish track made the butterflies settle a little while waiting my next turn and it is hard to pick a favourite from them, like trying to decide my top ten albums. The R8's V8 sounded lovely, the Subarus deep and menacing with flames shooting from their exhausts, lighting the way ahead on track. Then there was the Exige with it's supercharger or the Hondas and their neck tingling VTECs. Such a good day and chuffed to bits being mentioned on the Sunday Service review and by fellow PHer ash.

Sunday was in danger of making me go blind with all the gorgeous cars on show and my brain may have melted a little bit. Looking forward to next year's events and may even invest in sponge although the car likes wearing it's track grime, at least it makes a change from all the mud off the roads back home.

Echoing all the great comments, thank you to PistonHeads, Goodwood Road & Racing and Overclockers UK for putting on a great show and a fantastic way to end the year full of great Sunday Services.

A massive thank you (again) to the PH team, who worked damn hard through the year to ensure we had as many socials to attend to, and through the super sunshine to the freezing cold, the team were out in force with a smile. Well done team!

Waking up at 4am to get ready for the drive down to Goodwood was... not actually that tiring. A pitstop around the Guildford area helped break up the journey and made sure the distance within each stint wasn't massive and everyone was fully awake to drive down and witness the sunrise within the journey.

We finally arrived and was welcomed by happy smiling Goodwood marshalls who were attentive and quick to get ~800 cars in. Cracking job! We finally parked up in the paddock and like a child in a sweet shop, didn't know where to start.

Good outing to Goodwood. A suggestion, with lots of people in attendance do Goodwood not see the value in laying on breakfast or does that make it too similar to the Breakfast club? I could have put away the full breakfast rather than drinking coffee and eating a flapjack.

Thanks Will, maybe for some however it was a stretch for me and I only own half of it! (50/50 with my dad) I know what you mean though, particularly when you compare it to the way 911 prices have gone. My old man's Healey is much the same story. There's lots of talk and speculation over them in the market however its a bit of a strange one in the UK especially given its not a 'Premium brand', being LHD will put quite a few off etc. That being said that was exactly why I was desperate to get my hands on one now biggrin

Interesting to hear others talking about the same topic, I suppose that's what in part is responsible for the market going up! Not many over in the UK, and I can't really see that massively changing for a while now with the exchange rate being what it is...

Thanks, its not quite as immaculate as it looks. Needs some touching up in a few places but she cleans up alright tongue out The one thing that amazes me where ever that car go's is the attention, its unreal!
