Caterham Monday Service 17/4

The Seven turns 60 this year, and here's your chance to join in the celebrations!

Having committed ourselves to building the PH Fleet Caterham 310R over the Easter weekend (with a little help from seven PHers), we thought it would be an ideal opportunity to get a few more folk along and throw a mini Sunday Service for 30 special guests. Only it won't actually be a Sunday Service, given that it's on a Monday and is therefore - you've guessed it - a Monday Service.

Caterham is already hosting its annual open day on Easter Monday (see the Facebook event here), which is the opener for the firm's celebrations for the Seven's 60th birthday. We'll be joining them, so you'll have a chance to tour the facility and see the whole range on display. The guys have also kindly reserved six places (one per model) for test drives on the day, with passenger rides in the wild 620R available too. If you don't get a space and want to have a drive then don't worry, there should be space to book a test drive on the day - remember, bring along your National Insurance number and full UK driver's licence. Please note, all test drives are restricted to over 25s and those with no more than three points on their licences.

On the day Caterham will be providing a free breakfast roll to those attending, and will also have a coffee barista on site to keep you alert after Easter weekend antics! The Monday Service will be on April 17 from 0900h-1300h at Caterham Gatwick, Crawley. Sign up to the calendar here to secure your space but be quick about it, given the strictly limited numbers.

See you there!

Caterham Monday Service
When
: Monday April 17, 0900h-1300h
Where: Caterham Gatwick, Crawley, West Sussex
Cost: None, but we love biscuits!
Spaces: 30

I'm going but not part of the SS. Does this mean I will be banished forever?!

This will be my first pistonheads event, do I need to state if I'm bringing a couple people with me?

Yes, passport details and next of kin. Ok you don't have to say anything. Not even what car you're in.

Thanks, I imagine my mothers maiden name and place of birth would have been useful as well.

By the looks of the FB page, the Open Day isn't limited in terms of numbers so I assume even if you're not on the SS list, you can still attend regardless?

It looks that way, i reckon you can just turn up anyway. Don't think being on the PH SS list will matter (which is good because everyone would have to drop out for me to get on!)

A big thanks to Caterham and Pistonheads, that was a great event...

The boy was a great fan of the scalextrix and Easter egg hunt!

I was a fan of the Caterham 21, bit of a bargain at £22k?

Thanks Pistonheads and Caterham, I've been to a few factory open days and this was one of the best! I couldn't believe the amount of cars on show and for sale, very impressive plus the staff were brilliant. I'm now seriously considering adding a Caterham to the family.

I made it into the top 30 by Monday morning, but it was too late for the official email, so I didn't park in the PH carpark.
Really enjoyed the morning. Drove a 360R and chatted to a few Seven owners.
Well done to Caterham for putting on a good event.
Good luck to the guys finishing the PH car.

Although I made number 1 on the list of 30, I was banished to the Vent-Axia car park in my LR110CSW, (not weird enough for Pistonheads?).

Still great morning; I fit into a small or a SV Caterham, so the saving commences! (Must go on a diet as well; easiest way to get a few Kgs off the car).

Good luck to the guys building up the Pistonheads car; I even shed a little blood for it while holding the tee-piece for the hose clamp. Happy starting!

This broke my heart; I cannot afford the Alpine and the brief suggests this could have been cheaper on the road.

I wondered why there were so many Caterhams (and a few other performance cars) on the M25 on my way back from the airport!

Just want to make sure I'm not marked down as a 'no-show'. Made the 500 mile round trip from Liverpool with my brother and friend - we just never actually said hello to anybody from Pistonheads. Ended up coming in my girlfriend's 60hp Kia so wouldn't have parked with the nice collection of members cars even if it was offered! Don't know of any British enthusiast who doesn't love Caterhams. I'd phoned on Saturday afternoon and booked the last two test drive slots in the 620s. Unlike anything either of me or my brother had driven before. Sounded and went awesome - just wish we had longer to get used to the controls more. Free breakfast roll, drinks, cookies, even a book to take home. Can't fault the day and we never even got caught in any bank holiday traffic so happy days. Roll on the future Sunday services...oh and can I borrow £50k for a supercharged 7 please?

Another great outing, thanks for organising it. I now realise that I need to start saving money and losing weight. laugh
The Scalextric track was a big hit with my little one too.
