Here is some incar footage from the 11:55 session.

This is only my 3rd trackday (1st in the wet) so lines may be off somewhat.

Big thanks to the PH organisers, Mission Motorsport, and Silverstone, great morning out and an excuse to visit family on the way home.

Tom,

Any chance, or, would you mind if I pinched a copy of the German trio shown below? The E92 M3 is mine and the C63 belongs to my mate, we only seem to catch up these events and we both forgot to grab a picture.

Ditto the E46 M3 comment, we were pit wall at the time and were awaiting the thump, thankfully it didn’t happen, and nice celebration next lap around thumbup
No problem at all Andy, can download a High Res copy from my Flickr https://flic.kr/p/HB9Y6G

Appreciate you asking first!

Thanks to PH, Silverstone and Mission Motorsport for a great morning out! Very quiet when I arrived (spotted that white GT-R heading back, made me wonder if the event was on!), but soon got going. Bravo to everyone who ventured onto circuit, especially those who got some serious yaw and still kept it out of trouble.

A few pictures, more if you click through.

Ah the NSX that I was lapping with for several laps which was fun, he was having a good old slide about. Surprised how capable the little megane is to keep pace.

The NSX having a big spin out at Beckets corner looked like squeaky bum time for all including me as I was approaching him head on.

Yeah, I only had a few moments when going off line to pass people, it would need to be proper monsoon conditions and flooding before I went back to road tyres on track!

The R888's are getting a bit more scarce now and I'm not sure if the newer R888R's are as good in the wet?

I'm on the R888R (fresh set). And was pretty impressed.. I almost wish I had pushed a little harder.

Thanks for that. Shame we were in consecutive sessions. Would have loved to take you up on your offer to ride shotgun.

I got a similar pic of the 550 passing you on the straight, I had a great angle from where I was sitting!!

Both pics are excellent! Couldn't believe it when we saw you there as we came on to the straight!

Rob, could you send me a full res of that photo please?? biggrin

I took a few photos. Only had my camera to get some snaps of my mate James in his NSX. Unfortunately the weather was causing havoc with fog on the internals so I just chucked it back in the car.

You can see the haze in some of the photos. Annoying but dehaze in lightroom helped a bit.

I'd be interested to know what the other Minis were running.

A few things…
• It’s hard to take someone out when they’re 30m up the road. Which makes me wonder what the point of your post was, apart from to mention that you drive a C63…
• A slide in a Rolls is never unintentional. The DSC won’t allow anything near a slide with it switched on
• What 9 year old thinks a car sliding to be a muppet? And did the same 9 year old call you a muppet for coming off a roundabout, and going straight into the outside lane whilst overtaking nothing?
• If your 9 year old really did think the car sliding to be a muppet, then you haven’t shown them enough sliding, and you drive a C63, so what are you doing with your life if you’re not sliding around everywhere?
hehe

Thank you Pistonheads for organising a great event, we had a right laugh on the track! And thanks to the photographer for taking some awesome snaps!
