Hi I'm trying to find a car show to attend this year. To be honest I only usually get around to going to one as things are a bit complicated with taking my toddler along!

Over the last few years I've attended Trax, World Series by Renault and last year Fast Car Festival (which was pretty rubbish)

I'm more into modified cars, and would love the opportunity to get out on a few laps around a track again. Something suitable for a toddler would be preferred too, as for example there was lots to look at at the Renault show with BMXing and skate ramps, whereas the Fast Car show was full of people just revving their AMG for 15 minutes at a time.

Any ideas for something suitable? Thanks.

Simply Japanese @ Beaulieu is very good if you want a bit of added value for the ticket price (museum and house/grounds entry all covered under the car pass for the show).

For something different maybe try the May Bank Holiday Kit Car show (£10). Stoneleigh showground nr Coventry.

plenty of new things to see as well as older kits. a friendly show, with a few other things to do while you gawp at the cars.

Thanks. Doesn't sound too bad actually.

I think a friend went to one a couple of years ago which was supercars at some posh house. Can't remember the name of it now?

The retro show at santapod is a family fav of ours. With the drifting and jet car demos.
Also Retro rides gathering is worth a look too. Decent food stalls, bouncy castle for te kids. Although these show depend if you like looking at rusty old Novas and renaults. :@)

Retro Rides shows are brilliant such a varied amount of cars. The only other one I do is VBOA a Vauxhall show for all years in july run by enthusiasts. I was thinking about re living my youthful days and heading to trax but still unsure

You're probably thinking of Wilton House which ran a Supercar event once a year but this ended unfortunately. Such a shame as it was such a great event.
They do, however, still run 'Wilton Wake Up' - http://www.wiltonhouse.co.uk/wake-up/

Otherwise I would say check the Sunday Services on here and Beaulieu, as mentioned, is good as they run 'Simply' events for many different manufacturers throughout the year.

If you're into more modified stuff then Players Classic at Goodwood is a great show (July I think). Trax is ok too.

Seen the Speedmachine festival @ Silverstone? http://www.silverstone.co.uk/events/speedmachine-f...

It isn't for me but there seems to a be a good deal going on over the weekend and reasonably priced.

You won't get a better day out than spending it at one of Santa Pod's bigger meetings. Great for all kids from 6 to 96

Hi. Unfortunately my dad passed away in 1986 but before he did so he owned a GT6 which I'd love to be able to hunt down. I'm aware it's quite possibly long gone now, but worth a try eh? My mum really couldn't care less about cars so she doesn't have any information at all about it which is really annoying! Only started thinking about this today, and I came across a register earlier (which seems to be mainly American) but all the cars are referred to by their chassis number rather than their numberplate, which really doesn't help me...

Thought I'd start asking on here as I'm already a member but is there any other resources worth trying, such as Club Triumph? One final thing... can you tell me what mark his car was (hopefully 'is' lol)

Thanks in advance for any help smile
WELL I THINK YOU HAVE FOUND IT

I’ve got the perfect one for modded cars - modified nationals in Peterborough.

Huge show, cars for all tastes, live music, drift taxis. Also merged with a hot rod show. Have a look at some photos.

You’ll have to wait until next May/June though.

Post this in general gassing and maybe website feedback and it will get noticed a lot more. Once you've found him send him a PM.

I've just looked on his profile and he's still active up to a couple of days ago so I suggest going on his profile and using the option to send him an email. He's the first poster on the topic.
