Anyone local to the area that can recommend a nice hotel nearby thinking of making a weekend out of it with the Mrs.

The Four Pillars is OK but just another business hotel. For something a bit different Malmaison is worth a look. It's the old Oxford jail and most rooms are cells, either 2 and a half or 3 depending on the bathroom type. Room access is off the atrium and the cell doors are still in place. Very Porridge! Sunday lunch there is pretty good too.

Malmaison is good - if you can get parked...

Excellent stuff - see you there!

I'll be sending out an email on the Friday before the event which will include an event specific windscreen badge, so you just have to print that off (or show it on your phone if you have no access to a printer) to gain entry to the event. smile

Definitely not! You'll find plenty of PHers/us staff to chat to - we're a friendly bunch, promise.

From memory previous PH visit was only centred on the MINI Plant car park and the factory was off limits. I'm hoping this time there will be more to see.

Just a heads up guys - As a local I've spotted that there are 2 things going on that will impact on traffic in the area around Oxford this Sunday:

1. Road closure on A34 to the West of Oxford at Botley, meaning traffic is being diverted on the Eatern bypass - the main access route to the Cowley plant

2. For those planning to go cross country for a run out, avoid the Abingdon area as there will be road closures due to the Abingdon marathon.

Looking forward to it, let's hope the weather is better than last weekend. See you there!

Thanks for this - much appreciated!! thumbup

MINI have been very kind and said everyone that is on the reserves list can also come, so to the 23 members on the bench - you're in!

I'll be sending the final joining email out on Friday as usual.

Jack I was about to say that I may not be able to make it so was going to release my space but with that good news from MINI are you happy that I keep myself on the list in the hope I can still make it?

Are there any convoys for this event? Specifically convoys from London?

Would be good to meet up at Cobham Services on the M25 if anyone's up for it?
