Long shot, but you never know. I have to go to a meeting at Lion Plaza on Old Broad Street today. Depending on the outcome of the meeting, I may have to bring back half a van load of stuff. The customer is unsure about parking on site - is there anywhere in walking distance to park a 23ft long, 9ft high van?

TIA

Tricky one! Parking is bad round there anyway, the only place i can think of is Finsbury Circus where you might be lucky and get an end bay but i cant think of any bays that big.. Maybe you will just have to factor in the price of a parking ticket. BTW i think vans get 20mins loading time on yellow lines..

There's an NCP not too far away, check their website.

Edit: Doh - Big van not just normal van.
Try parking on Wilson Street? It's P&D.

Don't just leave the van anywhere, you'll cause a security alert hehe

Truman Brewery in Brick Lane? We get trucks into their car park for events.

Hah! Great big empty loading bay. Fiver to the man with the clipboard. Job done.

Thanks for the suggestions, though. Watch me forget to pay the congestion charge now.

Hope your van is exempt from the low emissions zone charge, very expensive if not.

It's not covered by the LEZ until 3rd Jan 2012, and it's compliant after that, anyway. It'll be replaced at the end of the summer, regardless.
