Yep. Mods: we have a winner, and further contributions are futile.

Just one last thing: I'm betting the driver of this car would go absolutely nuts if you overtook him.

Might be like the bus-window covering adverts that are made up with lots of tiny holes so those inside can see out.

I was thinking about all the times I've driven an estate car I couldn't see out of the back window of due to luggage or bicycles on a rack. So long as you've got door mirrors to satisfy the requirement for a mirror I'm not sure it's illegal.

Edit - I only asked in response to Hudson's post above.

The sticker will hide the queue of traffic behind him and lessen his guilt.

Someone buy that Prius, strip it and put a 300bhp supercharged 2-litre in it with a 75 shot of NOS. Leave it stickered up and you have the ultimate sleeper to end all sleepers.

I'd love to steam past this buffoon in my Impreza. I just don't care about emissions.

An ironic thought that occured to me while passing one of these 50mph numpties on a dual carriage way was...

How likely is it that forcing lorries to overtake and the cars in the outside lane to slow from 70 and thus accelerate again, is doing more "damage" to the environment than if the numpty was doing a constanst acceptable speed like everyone else

My understanding is that a Prius is hardly what you'd call 'green' anyway? Lugging all those batteries around in a car who's carbon footprint isn't exactly small from the get go.

What he said. The offset the Carbon the factory produces making the crate the average driver will take sixty years, pity the batteries only last three years. At the end of it's life those batteries aren't as recyclable as Toyota will have you believe. The lab MPG figures that sell the Pre-arse are unattainable in real life. That's why Toyota settled with the septic who sued them for misleading advertising.

The Toyota Pre-arse is about as green as a steam locomotive.

Th "greenest" way of motoring would be to buy an old car and keep an old car running as long as possible

Or build a kit car and fit a 1960s yank V8 thus recycling an engine along with other donor parts.
