The Wookie said:
'Torque to Weight Ratio'
Usually said by people who think horsepower (or even torque) per litre is a way to measure how good an engine is.

I have a set of HIDs I am fitting soon to my MG ZR - does this mean I will be hated on PH and banned?

It is genuinely because the healights are fooked, and point down at the ground as the plastic clips are broken. So driving along at night I can't see anything unless I use front fog lights - cue abuse but it isn't to look cool...don't want to buy new units and fit them as its a hassle so it was cheaper to buy a pair of HIDs...

"Lightly breathed on"

Normally used when discussing how fast a subaru impreza can be with some mods.
Kev: Did you see that evo article, the 330i is faster than the WRX??!!!
Bazza: A lightly breathed on scoob will have him in the twistys.
Kev: LOL! Right on brutha.

Also used when the scoob wins.
Wayne: Had a race with a Ferrari 430 last night he couldn't keep up!!11 LOL My lightly breathed on WRX left him in the dust!!1
Gazza: LOL! Ferrari fags! LOL

Wayne's sig:
HKS Supertwin scroll mega turbos, forged cams, platinum valves, FMIC, Diamond plated pistons, Unobtainium con rods, 16" brake discs and 12" straight exhaust with flowed heads

Headlamp aim is part of the MOT test and they do check having had 2 cars fail this in the last 3 years. One was a case of a new headlamp unit, the other was a bit of ingenuity and an oven. Get it fixed.

I will deny from this day on and start giving internet abuse to people with HIDs. To help my cover up the dazzling will ruin peoples eyes so the pistonheads sticker is not visible and no one will know any better.

Other half's car failed on headlamp alignment. Hers could be sorted, as they were just pissed and not broken, so they immediately issued a pass after sorting it. But get them fixed before MOT time!

Especially when the criteria specified rules out any true toys (motorbikes, kits, lightweights, classics) and you end up with a list of mainstream, perfectly good everyday cars.

Recalcitrant. I've never seen that word used except when a journalist is describing a gearbox gear selection process.

When people go out of their way to mention the torque figure of their car and try to compare it with another.

...have they never worked out what a gearbox was for?
