80-120 in 6.2 seconds, really?
No chance a car with 'only' 200bhp can do it that quick. That's kmh, not mph, shirley.Agoogy said:

Yawn. Zero interest. You'd be absoutely nuts to pay the asking price for one of these new.
Plus it's a Vauxhall.
Yawn indeed "it's a Vauxhall ".... or in PH subtext.. "Can I join your gang, I need friends and can easily trawl out the same old stereotypical drivel"Plus it's a Vauxhall.
Its very odd when PH people who LOVE performance cars come here to deride a brand that continue to develop high performance cars and in some cases do it very well.. brings a football club type allegiance to the whole thing...proper daft IMO.
some of the badge snobs on here really have to be questioned! Are you really a car enthuiast or a certain brand fan that enjoys slagging off all other cars on internet forums.
These corsas are very capable. They are not the best in class (clearly the clio) however these few mods will transform the standard cars performance. This is talking from experience. I have a stage 3 corsa, has a atb diff, uprated springs and it is a day and night transformation from the standard car.
As for those interested in buying, well it reads as though you assume them all to be under 25, buying on finance and alough the word hasnt been used it reads as though you expect them to be chavs.
shockingly im 28, in a very respected job (non chavy) and im also highly respected in my profession.
Give the car a chance! lets see it getting reviewed properly. Weve asked for these specific parts and here we have a car where the manufacturers have actually listened
I agree about the price, however if it can be had for £18k it then starts to become tempting

so many so defensive. Which is fine, but getting all personal, or trying, on the internet....? Anyway. Not so much a badge snob, more that some brands over the years have kept me entertained, with products, technology, even marketing, and these are the ones i am fond of. Just because im not inspired doesnt meen you need to get upset. I have some fond memories in some very capeable vauxhauls, but its just not appealing to me in the same way... And if their track record is so good, maybe the marketing department should have done better to remind me of this, rather than stick some nurburgring stickers on a car wich simply sported some white wheels ( astra ). I didnt do that. Why dont you write to them.... If i had invested in the brand in any way, as a serious petrol head i would also be pissed with the way they depthcharged their credentials. Nice to see that changing and Good luck.
As I said many times in this thread - Vauxhall RRP and the price you pay can differ greatly

£17444 is a damn good price

For such a small car it certainly gets people talking! I have to agree the rrp price is a little ott to be honest although it does look ok.
Be interesting what the misses new stock Vxr is like once Thorney have fitted an LSD and decent suspenders, hopefully good by the sound of the latest model.

I think I will have a go at commenting now
I very much prefer this one though, love all the little mechanical upgrades and the smaller bodywork details just makes it much MUCH more desirable but the RRP is just far to much, yes you should be able to get one cheaper but it's still far to much for what is a Corsa!!
The problem I see it is this, they are trying to compete with various manufactures who are bringing out new and expensive cars, like the new Mini Coupe John Cooper costs close to 24k, a top spec MiTo QV costs a smidge over 20k also, hell an Abarh EVO GP costs close to 18k, maybe a little more with options...if you look at the other end you got cars that you would think should cost less costs far far more, a good example is with a Alfa Romeo 147GTA, new from the showroom in 2003 they cost from 23k+ and that was top dollar for a hot hatch back then...now you have the Alfa Romeo Giuletta QV with the main things you want costs easily 30k+ but the Giuletta was supposed to replace the 147GTA...so with times prices has gone up!!
It's not just Vauxhall who have upped the price of what people feel should be cheaper cars, it's because every manufacture does it so they feel they can, it's a sign of the times sadly
FYI - I'd choose a Clio 200 Cup
