Is it possible to live inside a Gallardo?. hehe
Yes, it absolutely is.
The ultimate meaning of ghetto fabulous!
It adds up to £56,352, so I'm thinking that final payment may be abit large hehe
You don't need to worry about that detail right now sir, just sign on the dotted line. . . . . .

no offence intended, but just because you clearly earn 'loadsamoney' doesn't mean you have a good credit rating. Or maybe you are self-employed?

£100.000 a year, you have 10k deposit, just save up the rest and pay cash.
Do you have alot of disposable income?

Swapping my licence would be the last resort really...having a foreign licence in the UK has some "benefits" wink
I thought they were clamping down on those benefits?
If you get done in the UK then DVLA set up a virtual licence so you get the points anyway. You'd be on pretty dodgy ground not to declare those for insurance.

Can't complain, but would still take more than a year to save £30k!

I have plenty of bills! As much as I'd like not to, I have to pay for rent, gas, electricity, water, internet etc.
And I have a credit card on which I've racked more than £35k of credit, all paid in full at month end.
I've been employed for 3.5 years with a UK bank, pay my taxes and NIC, am on the electoral register etc. I've even studied in this country!

I'm hardly an unknown quantity...
Put it on your credit card!

But you are actively breaking the law by driving on an EU licence after your 3 years are up.

Is it any surprise no-one trusts you with their money?

Any way the licence swapping process can be sped up?
I'm travelling a bit in the next few months and can't risk having my passport unavailable for 3-4 weeks!
Yes, you can do it in person at three only DVLA local offices (Glasgow, Nottingham and Wimbledon), or at Head Office.

Wasn't there a recentish case where a foreign/EU national (Bulgarian?) bought a car on finance then skipped country with it?
I suppose Brits never do such things?

No law being broken. He has until his 70th birthday to use his EU licence.

Provided your licence remains valid you may drive in GB:

until aged 70 or for three years after becoming resident, whichever is the longer period
Been driving here myself for many years on an EU licence. As for the benefits, works both ways. Isn't the usual advice here to ignore fines from abroad?

Indeed my broker told me that the finance companies wouldn't fund my deal because of this 3 year rule, which is completely bullst as confirmed by the DVLA (I even called them to confirm).
Hence why I think this is a discriminatory policy.
