Well there you go - I'll freely admit that I had never heard of such a machine before, but you live and learn. Original article is now EFA

Great race - would still take a ZR1 over the others.
I think all the cars there are brilliant but I have no clear favourite or rather I love various bits of each. I think my perfect combo would be the LFA engine, 4wd system from the GT-R, wrapped in a 430 Scuderia body as I think it's the best looking there and built by Porshce who know how to put a car together which will take lap after lap of track abuse.Guvernator said:

Oh, most importantly a price tag of ZR1....Alfa159Ti said:
No way - shame to see them coming to an end, love their videos.
You can dig out some great old vids of them testing Ferraris and Porsches against Supras, NSXs, Evos etc on track.
Also look for the crazy 'Touge Battle' videos - head to head battles down mountains in bonkers tuned rice rockets.
Love it.
I miss the golden era of the nineties imports... :-(
Yep, this vid pushed me towards buying an EG6 Civic(@ 15:15) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g8HGbIbcuFoYou can dig out some great old vids of them testing Ferraris and Porsches against Supras, NSXs, Evos etc on track.

BM Videos are fantastic. It's a real shame they are stopping. From the Strange guys with their pointing sticks via the girls in bikinis to the fantastically tuned cars. Always entertaining.
There is one review I have seen but never been able to find online of Tsuchiya in a 911 Turbo (993 I think) around some roads where he is just ever so slightly getting the car to move around and it is an absolute joy to watch. Such visible skill. One of those things where you think 'He's out in his loafers and he’s in an absolute minority of drivers of that car that will drive it like that. Yet that car is demonstrably able to do so much.'
So much more impressive than the Top Gear guys going massively sideways.

If they had put an NSX Type-R in, I bet it would have "won"
for all the comedy outcomes, Best Motoring is excellent telly. I love the way Tsuchiya described the Mine's skyline, for ages the quickest Tougue tuner car they had tested. Initially it was the "Monsteru" (monster). Then Shortened to "Muuusruuu" and then just "Muuuuuuu".
For comedy pro-japan bias, watch the saloon car test in the wet where they switch the TC off on all the european cars, leave it on in the japanese, and comment that the back is a bit twitchy

These videos are great fun but just that, as fake as a Top Gear shoot out, come on people.....
The start...... really?
My Ferrari is faster in a straight line that your Vette.............
No it isn't my Vette is faster, on the next lap..........
And the GT2 driver?? he really needs to grow a pair, or maybe just borrow them?
Good fun, but just that.

As far as we're concerned, this is the way to do motoring journalism. Forget your in-depth comparisons, your extensive spec sheets, your colourful magazine features or your slickly presented internet videos...Sadly, however, it seems that this is the last-ever episode of Japanese motoring video series Best Motoring International, and that's rather a shame...
Erm if you really think this then isn't there now a very large gap in the market that you can fill, especially given your contacts and web-presence credentials?I for one would love to see more video content on PH articles and head-to head comparisons (on track or the road)would be excellent!
Go to it PH!
prefer some fo the older ones
