Sheep in Wolf's Clothing
Discussion
With respect, I believe it does..
I'll state my case;
New, it was a £50k VW Beetle (hardly a good car to start with). They then gave it the mother of all bodykits and a lairy interior that couldn't make its mind up between being sumptious and spartan (leather etc but manual window winders!?). Yes, it has a 3.2 V6, but it's hardly rocket power at 210bhp in something as lardy as that. In this day and age that car should have been comfortably over 300bhp to pull off those looks and that price tag.

which cars in particular?
Initially, cars like the Lotus Esprit and Ferrari 348. By the time it went out of production, in 2005, the Ferrari F430 and Lamborghini Gallardo. And to some extent - though it doesn't really have the exotic looks of the NSX and other competitors - the Porsche 911, which went from starting at 250bhp when the NSX was introduced to starting at 325bhp when it went out of production.The point I was making, really, is that the NSX wasn't a sheep in wolf's clothing when it was launched, and it didn't become one through staying the same while the world moved on. A coelacanth, perhaps, but not a sheep

CAn I say the Polo 16v from 1998...
Told of range polo with 100 bhp and it could not even crack 10 seconds 0-60.
Kind of like the boy racer car of its day that just couldnt deliver.
or the punto sporting mk1....
there was something about it with its looks, but it certainly wasnt sporting.
I had one of these about 7 years ago. It had a 16v badge in the grill and alloys over the basic mode but no other 'sporting' pretensions. Was notably quicker than a boggo polo without really looking it. Told of range polo with 100 bhp and it could not even crack 10 seconds 0-60.

It's so black it's like, how much more black could this be? None, none more black. [/Spinal Tap]
Anyway if you want a black car, you need this, as featured in the greatest car ad ever made:-

The GX is missing the huge intake scoop on the bonnet. I think the "man on the street" would notice that.
I dont. Just looks like an Imprezza to me. I didnt even know they did other versions apart from a WRX or whatever. I dont drive them, I have no inclination to ever own one, so an Imprezza is just n Imprezza to me, so yes it fully meets the OP's criteria.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
