Yikes! That post has to be banned, sorry, for two reasons:-

(!) It is about your friend, and not about your "friend".

(2) It is too sad.

Ouch. My "friend" started to jack an Alfa 156 on the plastic side skirt. He stopped, quickly.

My "friend" forgot to mention to the buyer of his old car that he ought to give the gear knob a wipe, after my "friend's" then girlfriend had been in there one evening.

He really does get around, this "friend". I am amazed that my "friend" has not been locked up, banned, or in a ditch by now. He is also a right gobby git, and is lucky to have avoided a slapping on numerous occasions. Worst of all, he comes on here and posts some right old cobblers.

My "friend" proved that his mum's Metro could do 100 mph (downhill). His mum was not much better, as she took my "friend" for a blast when they both had provisional licences (the L plates were in the boot).

My "friend" also discovered that his dad's Montego 1.6 was a most excellent training platform for the practice of hand brake turns in the rugby club car park.

I thought that my "friend" had given up his ASBO ways, but, no. Just last weekend, in three separate incidents, my "friend" left the handbrake off when he parked his car on a slope at a garage; ran a red light through being distracted; and gave some bloke in a Merc the coffee beans (having vowed to stop doing that). Sometimes I despair of my "friend".

... My friend had pulled the handbrake so much and so hard that night that he damaged the tendons in his wrist and was unable to grip anything for 4 weeks.

...
In view of the usual recreations at that age, that's a real hardship!

Of course, if it had been your, sorry, his right hand, using the other hand is said to make it feel like someone else is doing it, er, allegedly.

My "friend" drove three miles down the road before realising that he had not paid for the full tank of V Power he had put in his heap. He drove back to the garage at leptonic speed, expecting to have the cuffs slapped on him, and, worse, expecting to feature on "Chav Moron Cop Geezer Bustatron" on 24/7 Idiot TV; but in the event he shamefacedly apologised, paid, and went off again.

My "friend " tried three times to land a jittery tailwheel aircraft downhill and downwind on a short farm airstrip, because he had forgotten to look at the windsock, which had done a 180 in the 15 mins since he had taken off from the same strip.

My "friend" has been causing mayhem in the peaceful city of Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

In just one day, he:-

- drove past a tram with its door open, in breach of local law

- got a $40 parking ticket

- failed to pull over when an ambulance with its blue lights on was passing on the opposite carriageway (another local law)

- got overtaken and lapped by a ten year old on a go-cart track

- ate poutine.

He appears never to learn.

My "friend" has just now been pulled by the Toronto cops for driving onto the bus company's property to turn around. He remembered not to say: "Canada? Isn't that one of ours?", and they let him off on the ground of being Johnny Foreigner.

My "friend" has been having another go at driving an automatic vehicle, leaving it with the engine running and in drive, and getting out to stand in front of it. The vehicle weighs two tons, or so. Good handbrake, eh? My "friend" is still a tit, whichever way you look at it.

A quick reminder: The thread is about your "friend". It is not about your friend. I hope that's clear.

My 'friend" was driving in the Alps with snow chains fitted and passed several opportunities to stop and remove the chains, as the ground conditions improved along his route. The chains were old fashioned, and a poor fit, and removing them always involved lying on the ground and swearing a lot.

Eventually, he arrived at his destination and needed to remove the chains, as the roads were free of snow there, but the only place available to do so was an area that had been shat on by about one million horses. My "friend " was not popular in the chalet that evening.
