Indeed it's a safeguarding issue.

She is of cause free to enter into a relationship with someone, but should not be her carer (or at least that person should not remain her carer)
The issue is not just the safeguarding of the resident with whom he claims to have entered a relationship, but access to other residents too.

Rather than contact the care home direct, you can call and speak to the Adult Social Care team at the appropriate local authority, who are appropriately placed to and have the power to investigate in situations such as this. You may maintain your anonymity with the home and with your "friend".

Or just let the care home deal with it first?

Why does everyone feel the need to stir up as much st as possible by going to Social Services, etc. Let the care home deal with it first.

After over 10 years of use, my friend has just been informed by his wife that his favorite curry eating spork is actually a pet food spork.

Presumably it’s been washed once or twice over the years though?

After speaking to my friend who thought back, it was common to retrieve the spork from the sink and give it a quick rinse before tucking into a Madras or Biriyani.

Captain Kirk's friend Mr Spork says that this is illogical.

My friend says WTF, he wants to get back to hearing of people's friends who have tried to to take their cars on a foot ferry because the sat nav said they could. My friend didn't fall for that one, so he can laugh at those who did wink

My friend actually did try that whilst trying to navigate me around a closure on the M27 on our way to Le Mans one year. The Gosport ferry doesn't accommodate Range Rovers and twin axle caravans. The actual town of Gosport isn't too keen either. hehe

My friend may have been a bit of a soft touch yesterday and agreed to accompany his wife to IKEA to purchase a new desk for his wife's home office, at least its sunny stood in the three mile queue to even get in.

Oh, the Gosport ladies!
They do the best they can ...

This is a great performance of "Gosport Nancy" by rather good hipster folk band Bellowhead.

Nice cup of tea and a Chelsea bun, followed by quid in a pint glass strippers, kebabs, ultraviolence, and unreasonable bail conditions.
