Great offer, have to admit the servicing costs were what put me off getting one.
Seriously? Its a very complex and expensive car; what did you expect? For me this seems like a poor way to generate new sales. People in the market for new GTR's surely (??) aren't going to expect £150 services. They're not buying MINI's or Fiestas.
An organised trip to the Nurburgring or a Factory tour (where possible etc) seems more of a pull IMO.

If Only TVR could have done this - might still be in business (or maybe not based on the SP6).
Make you wanna get a GTR - Nice cars, But Christ they are BIG!
That's the one thing that puts me off them, the rear end looks similar in size to Dawn French's. If you put 4 red tea plates on Dawn's arse they would be indistinguishable.Make you wanna get a GTR - Nice cars, But Christ they are BIG!
Why is it so big? You can't knock the performance though.
Personally I get rid of all the 4x4 trickery (maybe need bigger stickers rears though), ala how they have to race them in the Current GT1.

Sorry I am confused. Probably me being thick as usual but

There is a catch, however - this is free only to customers who choose to buy via Nissan's personal contract financing package.
People who choose to buy 2011 GT-R via any other means (or already own a 2011 car) can get hold of the new package, which covers you for three years or 27k miles.
What am I missing? first there is a catch but then everyone can get the package. I assume by package you mean 'free' servicing because thats what we are talking about isnt it?People who choose to buy 2011 GT-R via any other means (or already own a 2011 car) can get hold of the new package, which covers you for three years or 27k miles.

Personally I like my cars to be alot Crazier, that something that does it all for you with computers. Any half reasonable pilot can go fast in a 4x4 Rally or GTR type toy.
I like less grip - i.e. you are involved and have to contribute alot more at legal (and highly illegal) speeds that in such things.
But that is just me.
I do enjoy watching them in GT1 racing (ESPN) though, but all slicked up and RWD, they may even be non-turbo with a V8 (think no turbos due to all that equalisation bull) - I'll check.

Not good. If you've got to use a finance plan, you're already p1ssing money down the drain.
I agree to a point. If you're using a 0% deal then you're not pi$$ing as much money away as you can do with some of these ridiculously uncompetitive in-house deals most major manufacturers offer. But, if you're buying a new car, you should be prepared to pi$$ away a substantial chunk of that over the first 3 years or so anyway.Frimley111R said:

Which is what you got with your order 2 years ago when the cars were £50k!It was a brilliant lure. You got loads of other gimmicky but cool things as well, completely randomly. One day you would just get a GT-R tape measure through the post and think "WTF?" for the note attatched saying it was to measure your head for your free GTR Arai helmet for you Silverstone trackday etc
Bearing in mind the servicing for 3 years would be just over £2k or so, whn I bought mine the difference in the interest rates between Nissans and Oracles added up to more than that anyway. Its a bit rubbish.
When are car manufacturers going to understand that we want everything free! For nothing!
(Maybe in return for streaming adverts into the car? )
Seems to me this could tip someone into taking the Nissan finance package, but it's unlikely to tip someone into to buying the car as opposed to something else. Although, this sort of announcement does get publicity!

Not sure what all the fuss is about then! I guess tyres and brake pads/disks will be expensive to replace.6,000Mile / 6 Month (G1) Service £149.98 Inc. VAT

WHen they first came out a set of official discs and pads were £4k and the tyres were £500 each.Ive no doubt there are lots of options availabe now that are nowhere near that kind of price but certainly when figures like that are touted around its enough to put you off.
