I appreciate that bit of glass is not gonna last forever positioned out on the front of a car, but I've never had a car where the screen is so scratched or pitted by chips that it's bothered me. I have changed screens because of cracks though...

Was thinking about this when cleaning my 225,000 mile e39 at the weekend,it's on the original screen and even after polishing,looks as if its got dust on it. Probably won't change it unless it gets a proper chip or crack though as I'd lose the running-in instruction sticker.
