I've got one, OP - I love it, personally. Sure it's not perfect, the driving position is a bit upright, and the steering feels a bit heavy until you're used to it - nice quick rack though. Pedal layout is good Gearchange is good. Wouldn't say it lacks feel at all, quite the opposite. A bit understeery perhaps. Interior space is surprising.

It bears almost no resemblance to the other colt models in terms of handling, gearchange or general feel, so experience of one of the lesser models really doesn't help.

On my daily commute (70 miles, motorway and a-roads) I get between 38 and 43 mpg depending on the amount of bootage. If you go for a concerted hoon it will be down in the low 30s.

And yes, it surprises an awful lot of people smile

Edit - I also tested the swift, which is a nice car, and handles better than the colt. BUT it is (was) much more expensive, considerably slower, and very low geared, so motorway use would be a bit wearing, IMO. Fun little cars though.

I drove an early car at York Mitsubishi. Is yours a Ralliart version as I haer there were some changes made. It was not that good at all. Wouldnt call it fast, handling was OK, hated the fact it was like a little MPV.
Your right about the Swift sport, but they are even slower. The Fabia VRS was a better all rounder, but lacked the Swifts handling.
OP, Drive a CZT and see for yourself, who cares what we think?

No, mines the CZT, not the ralliart.
Each to his own I suppose. I wouldn't have a Fabia because it's a DERV, it all depends what you like.
I'd take issue with "wouldn't call it fast" - maybe not in absolute terms, but you have to compare like with like. In the same class I don't think there's anything which can match the colt for straight line speed, you're into mini cooper s, fast golf and focus territory to do that, all of which cost a good deal more.

But test drives are the way, most definately.

Yep the speed is exactly my point. A low weight (about 1000kg) with 150hp offers up low 7.x 0-60mph times and a similar power to weight ratio as a focus ST.

Remaps can see 200-210hp which puts them into a different performance category again.
