Ariel Atom .....you may need to lengthen it a touch though.

I want to go through the gates of hell backwards in that , tyres smoking and on my mobile phone.

I'm quite impressed by his 4x4 since it puts out more torque at the hubs than a veyron puts out at the hubs. It must be some 4x4
Doable if it has the mother of all low range gearsets. A peek at thinfourth's Garage reveals the answer to that dilemma and makes sense of the original comment.

I was trying to work out how a <100bhp engine produced Veyron torque at around 500rpm, before I cottoned on to the "at the hub" rather than "at the crank".
It is quite unfair to compare any engine to an engine with gearbox. Even my piss poor xud9 ca output serious torque with the gearbox , more than most (if not all) supercars.

I always wanted to drop a Rover V8 in one of those. Is it true that they were all owned by the government and all have been scrapped ?

A wonderful invention the gearbox allows you to ignore torque and look at power

Gas turbines bugger all torque but lots and lots of revs and power

Try to somehow squeeze it into the front of a Veyron, presumably with most of it sticking out still, and somehow create a dual motor 2000hp Veyron?

How much would an engine + box and all needed for a conversion cost I wonder ? Not labour now. Just the raw part's. And would Bugatti let this happen ?
