Only once in 1993. I had to take a couple of ferries though and got stuck in Mongolia for a nearly a week because I couldn't get a fill of petrol.

I'd have to ask my Dad this question!!

He has been driving 44 years. During that time he has spent almost 30yrs driving lorries (a few yrs inc driving abroad) and 12yrs driving taxis as well as driving his own car. He currently does 500 miles a week just to get to work and back.

I'd love to know his total biggrin. (He is also driving to belgium for a holiday in a couple of weeks, My mum doesn't drive!)

Personally at least once as I did 36,000 in one year as a rep, so probably 4 times over 18 years, I did 200 miles a week for almost two years just travelling up and down the M5 to see my now hubby not inc work commutes.

hehe thats true, though since he badly injured his shoulder in an industrial accident he has been home more in the last 2 years than ever before! which will have reduced his mileage somewhat frown

Cool way of quantifying millage. I have done approximately 6-7 laps of the world in my 10 years driving experience.

On a similar note how many people have owned cars that could have been to the moon ie have done over 238,000 miles.... i've had 4.

I've done 11 years at 65,000 or so, followed by 12 at 35,000.
If my maths is correct almost 46 times smile

8 laps in 7 years, and my daily driver has also done 8 laps but only half a lap with me at the helm. My fun car has done 4 very hard laps, which is pretty impressive considering it's french!

Well I've done 3 times round the world in the Passat Estate in the time we've had her. But the TVRs I tend not to do more than 4k pa.

Done a rough guestimate, I'm probably on my way to completing my seventh trip, since passing my test in October 2005.

In that time, I've never crashed and only broken down once!

On my 2nd circumference this year already.

Truck driver for the last 20 years and I drive 100,000 miles per year, so that's 2 million miles therefore the answer is.....80 trips round the world.

I win.

Is that driving around the country or including driving abroad?
