I just returned from a trip away to find my car plastered in bird st, Ive just given it a good wash and it seems to have stained the laquer. I tried a good polishing with some autoglym resin polish but its not really doing much.
It'll need cutting back with wet and dry - depending on the depth of the damage anything between 1600 and 3000 grit and polished back up with a machine polisher. Claying might get rid of the deposit but the acid damage will still be there.
