I kinda like that they made it more modern "Porsche'esque," however I was kinda hoping they were going to keep that model dead. I guess if it sells, it sells. I definitely won't be recommending them.

Was laughing at that myself. For 31k pounds you could have a decent 996 911 in the US!

Do agree that the price of MINIs is ridiculous, though. Around here a new Cooper S can run close to $40k. I'd imagine it's much worse in the UK.

This "new" New Beetle could be an interesting left-field alternative to the traditional hot hatch. I think without the laughable GT3-esque graphics, it would be a sleeper. Nobody expects a Beetle to go fast!
