A member of public taking the law into their own hands is always going to be dealt with by the courts, imo.

Beefandfish, looked at my STOP you have been clamped note, the two contact numbers had been stuck over the top of the notice, also both stop stickers, have some numbers in pen that have been crossed out...

How have you progressed with this so far?

I actually googled MOROOF ADEBAYO because I had a feeling this guy wasn't straight. I came across your "this was on my road this morning when I woke up" thread (was a good read) and saw you had a run in with the guy.

So far I've called the cops, SIA themselves, crimestoppers, and they all say that they can't do anything. I phoned Burger King HQ and they told me that the Burger King Gants Hill franchise is actually owned by Zing Leisure LTD. I phoned them saying that I suspect the guy they hired to clamp people in their car park is a fraud. The lady on the phone told me to send an email. I plan to get refunded and compensated by them, and THEN report it all to watchdog. But I also wanna get this guy back somehow because he was a evil cocky little so and so all through out the stand off!

I plan to go back to the Burger King with a friend and try and video tape his face because I have don't think that he's the owner of that SIA licence card. I reckon that he's so cocky that he'll be back there again. In the time I was cooped up in my car, he clamped 4 people who paid with minimal resistance. He basically made £480 + £90 from me in about 3 hours. That makes me sick.

Although there is always the chance that this is part of a wider criminal gang / organised crime.... i.e. he personally isn't getting the money, etc. Low chance, but tread careful

I applaud your feeling towards the subject, but we at PistonHeads are not organising this (and don't encourage it) so we'd rather our name wasn't used to imply that we are somehow behind it.
