Well I can't make thurs because of work:/ I was going to try and have a 'look around' on saturday if my schedule permits. I have a feeling the cocky devil will be there, continuing to clamp.

That arse of a clamper should get himself to the KFC in Rugby. The non-disabled people (non blue badge holders) I saw taking advantage of the two disabled bays outside the front doors defied belief this teatime.

I'd quite happily see them clamped! furious

Just finished reading this forum. So sorry to hear that you have been treated this way, but very happy that you have all decided to fight back, the police are a joke sometimes and I think its well worth the risk trying to expose this cowboy further. So what happened last night? How did it go?

I didn't realise it was supposed to be last night. I don't think it happened - can we plan it a week or so ahead of time (not this nor next weekend for me though sorry).

We also need a well coordinated action plan of how we intend to annoy this clamper though and ensure we're not going to break any laws or get drawn into such situations.

I don't drive so will be nowhere with a car at no time. But I can tell you the second scan Mr Giggity posted is illegal by default. As he mentioned the police said it is a civil matter (other than the threatening behaviour)but on that notice he received it says "This vehicle has been illegally parked and has been clamped" The term "illegal" is very specific and this company has no right to use it, that is a main part of an argument against the company, section "e" on the notice is also non-specific "not on site" isn't a valid reason to clamp. If it means not within lines or in a space then it HAS to say so. In light of the fact the OP has said he had to get his meds, this can be mentioned as they will have access to DVLA data for addresses etc.and so they should, as good practise, release on the basis that they can still contact you in spite of the insistance that you pay within 3 hours.

When did he sack you then? Take him to a tribunal.

And is your name really Steve?

i have never worked for him, he clamps cars on private land the police won't touch him bcos they pull the "civil matter" card, soon as you take him to court he will dissolve that company name to avoid any legal action and start trading under another name

BMW can send out a device to all owners in the post, that will plug into the OBD and update the software. May cost a bit to manufacture - or it could be done as a recall / as part of a next service. Or you could disconnect the connector and hide the OBD socket to an alternative location or into the (locked) glovebox.

At the end of the day something needs to be done - nothing just shows they do not care!
Or if you can't find the right thread any old one will do.

Ouch - that was ninja quick!

ETA:

Just to add, the outcome was I got a £50 POSTAL ORDER from the parking firm / BK after contacting the land owner Zing Leisure.

All worked out (in the end!)
