Hi Gregor, do you remember the late John Burbidge (modsport champion in E Type) who was offered driving lessons by Gerry everytime we bumped into him, JB was a good mate and got the hump at the offer which amused Gerry even more. RIP x 2.
John's son is on PH - apologies I cant remember his avatar!!
John was a lovely bloke and I was very sad to hear of his passing a few years ago - a lot of people wou;d remember Dad for big Vauxhalls etc, but not TVR Griffs in the mis '60s again John's E-Type.

Yes; and when I saw him leaving Chris's bus in the paddock at Oulton I looked everywhere for it, hoping to get it signed at the next race: but it had disappeared. frown

We'll be there on the monday- its my 8 month old son's first taste of live motorsport, and I feel this is fitting.

Oh, if you are travelling and want to make a weekend of it in these parts, on sunday why not go to Bruntingthorpe?

The fats taxi runs (made famous by the Victor getting airbourne). Nimrod, Lightning,Buccaneer, Comet, Canberra and others. The only place in the world where you can see some of these aircraft moving

Went to the Mallory Park to watch Baby Bertha yesterday.....
WHAT A DAY !!!!
the noise , smell , atmosphere , racing ..was absolutely incredible.
It was an honour to see the BB run along with some other great cars.
I wish today's motor sport was as exciting to watch as this.

Please start a series !!!

I would gladly travel the country watching this !!

excellent!!
Pictures to follow ..

Love this car though preferred Old Nail being more true to the Droop Snoot Firenza I would have sold a kidney to own in 1974.

I saw that stars & stripes liveried Manta win a Thundersaloons race at Donnington in 1987.

Not anymore unfortunately - I sold her through Bonhams at the Goodwood FoS and has gone to someone private who I think will take very good care of her.

Guys,

I have contacted the CSCC to see if some of their members/ owners can bring some of their awesome machines to our event at Snetterton on 26th November.

We are offering passenger laps and it would be great to be able to offer laps in Baby Bertha !!!!!

I am aware the CSCC have their end of year bash the night of the 26th but hopefully some may be able to attend our event.

Would be ace to get one of those old races lined up along with the Aston vantage GT4 car we have coming.

Anyone give me a pointer to Joe the current owner?

I was told over the weekend, that Baby Bertha lives no more than 1/2 a mile from where I live.....
I need to do some digging, and confirm that as a fact...

Best,
