I particularly dislike the 'half-timbered' effect on my Jag steering wheel. The fake wood looks nasty, is slippery and makes an irritating noise when my wedding ring hits it...

New Pagani, looks really stty doesn't it. Like a fairground ride or a 4yr old's toy car dashboard.

We seem to be in the era of gimmicky crap right now. The F458 dashboard is a perfect example. What happened to two dials, dark matte materials, and err, a round wheel made of a homogenous material.

Such a shame as the F360 CS and original Zonda C12 7.3 wheels/dashes were so nice... frown

Yup, it seems the high-end Italian car industry has just discovered the Midi Hi-Fi styling of the early 2000's hehe

Fake-tan brown mixed with silvery curvy shapes covered in glowy lights...

Nice!

Is this chavvy!? I literally don't know. I used to love this wheel when I was searching through Demon Tweeks catalogue...

Probably is now. IIRC a lot of people replaced the standard wheel on their Impreza with one of these.

Always had a soft spot for classic Mercedes white tillers, though I imagine they're unsatisfying to use:

Wouldn't mind being behind this smile

I actually really like my wheel, was just searching for it on Google images, however I quickly came to the conclusion that I actually prefer the newer ones! I really like ones with the flat edge...

I am pretty sure it's lacquered wood veneer.

I liked the steering wheel on my first car for the simple fact it had holes in it which I would rest my fingers in when stuck in slow moving traffic!

That to me looks about ideal to use. About the right thickness and a good diameter, plus it looks nice. Modern wheels are too small and too thick.

BMW Performance, purely because it shows the oil and coolant temperatures, unlike the stock instruments on my 130i...

Cool, till it goes wrong...

£800 steering wheel, eek!

Why they didn't just put the info on the dash display, under a 'performance' screen with temps on it etc...

Cool ish, but lame at the same time.

I stand erected wink They've managed to make it look like plastic though. I still don't like it. I much preferred the Nardi wheel in my MX5...

I never really like the steering wheel in my 182, too big and extremely worn and tacky it was literally melting.

Looked and felt a lot nicer after I had it re-trimmed though...

I praise plenty of things.

Unfortunately not that much stuff we see on 'sports' cars these days is anything more than an exercise in shafting idiots from their money.
