The Momo accessory wheels in classic Saab 900s were rather nice:

Mine was black (with red/tan striped inserts) and bought for a song as NOS after the previous one had worn through at the rim. Lovely jubbly cloud9

I never really like the steering wheel in my 182, too big and extremely worn and tacky it was literally melting.
Same happened to my Clio steering wheel. Absolute rubbish.

Wouldn't you catch the buttons all the time too ? Very fussy wheel design imho.
I had an S-reg 4.5 in Imperial and never caught the bottons accidently.

Ps....i seem to remember getting hit on the lip by a small stone / animal once to as it was fired (I think!!) out of the a/c vent on the wheel.

I actually really like my wheel, was just searching for it on Google images, however I quickly came to the conclusion that I actually prefer the newer ones! I really like ones with the flat edge...

That's lovely. cloud9
I like that too!

Far too 'Playstation' for my liking.

(all from my experience)

This wheel feels very good to hold and has a useful flat notch on the back at 12.00:

This is quite fat, but still feels good (I have reasonably large hands):

I've just driven over 2000 miles in four days with this one and it is very good to hold:

All time favourite:

All time worst:

Horrible - hard, wrong angle, not adjustable and the steering was awful (like the rest of the car).

The SEAT Cupra R

The Citi Golf CTI, I think they were also on the MK2 Golf

The Alfa Romeo GTV6

Worst must be the Renault Megane Mk1, nasty thing, the remote controls on the side however, were very good though.

I've always hated the steering whees in Clio 182's. Every one I've looked at has been a sticky, blobby mess that was melting, with a rim that is far too thick and positioned at an odd angle that reminded me of a bus steering wheel. Were the 172's the same?

Not usually a fan of wooden wheels but these Volvo V70 wheels are really lovely to use, our old Volvo sadly missed, I did the best part of 100k sat behind this one.

I really like the simplicity of the Porsche 996 and M3 CSL steering wheels - modern and chunky but not crowded with buttons smile

Plenty of steering wheels I have loved already mentioned in this thread, but surprisingly not my very favourite:

Early S2 Elise steering wheel (as distinct from the S1 because it has alcantara covering the centre, ideal for stroking in traffic jams). The right size, shape, feel, look... cloud9
