I had an S-reg 4.5 in Imperial and never caught the bottons accidently.Ps....i seem to remember getting hit on the lip by a small stone / animal once to as it was fired (I think!!) out of the a/c vent on the wheel.

This wheel feels very good to hold and has a useful flat notch on the back at 12.00:
This is quite fat, but still feels good (I have reasonably large hands):
I've just driven over 2000 miles in four days with this one and it is very good to hold:

Horrible - hard, wrong angle, not adjustable and the steering was awful (like the rest of the car).

Plenty of steering wheels I have loved already mentioned in this thread, but surprisingly not my very favourite:
