Buying vredestein quatrac 3’s- PH thanks
Discussion
Thanks to a recommendation from a PH thread (I’ve searched for ages and can’t find it to link) and a few googles for winter tyres tests etc, I’m getting 4 vredestein quatrac 3’s fitted to the wife’s Cclass. We don’t have space for pure summer and pure winter tyres, so these are a compromise.
I couldn’t wait until say Oct when more coldweather / winter / all seasons (with good winter performance) are available. Michelin Alpin 4’s were available, but I guessed they are more of a winter than a cold weather tyre. The car only gets about 5k miles on it.
You just know that as soon as the first frost bites that tyres that perform better in our winters will be snapped up + bumped up in price.
Having said that, you can have a snow plow, but if the roads are blocked you’re stuffed anyways.
I’ll prob throw a couple of paving slabs in the boot too when the snow falls.
Anyway, thanks again.
