The shark, inside the gloveboxes of Corsa D's:

Don't think it's supposed to be a shark, don't even know what it's for. But gives me a giggle everytime I see one, and not one person I know that owns a corsa has seen it before.
Yes, i'm strange.

That's fantastic. Just been looking into that, and found a page with some other interesting little examples of quirky car details, this one included.

Blatantly meant to be a shark, though!

Learning a few things I didn't know before on this thread and this is one of them. A cool thing in a Corsa, who'd of thought it!

I made a similar topic a little while ago - clicky

(pinched from my thread)

Similar to George's post above re Aston door handles, BMW have a similar thing - I think it looks superb:

Newer Alfa Romeos show an (LCD) image of the car driving towards you on startup. The gauges then sweep, and the car starts. When you turn the car off, the LCD screen shows the rear of the car driving away.
(tried to find a video on YT but couldn't find one, here's my own: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-3YB73nrUTk - yes, 278 miles on the clock)

I've had my Corsa D for three years now and I've never noticed that before biggrin

I'm gonna look when I get up tomorrow now, that's brilliant.

Whoever nominated the rear of the Brera is blind though, it's hideous, especially compared to the 159 (which has one of the best rear ends of any car)

Although I've never owned one. I love how the Rev counter on the Suzuki Swift Sport goes round so much. Sort of resembles a rev counter you get on a motorbike.

If you want a rev counter that goes round a lot...DC5 Type R

The vent slashes on the Chim and the gorgeous curves...this is probably my favourite photo of may car.

Love it when the engine is up to temp and you can see the heat waves coming out of the bonnet slashes smile
Good call. Bonnet vents inspired by Supermarine Spitfire exhaust stubs. Also, nothing as mundane as door handles, either inside or out! The alloy 'golf ball' on the centre pod to open the doors is a nice touch; it's always amusing to see passengers staring at a wall of carpet on the inside of their door, wondering how to get it unlatched.

...and you know your TVR wasn't mass-produced when a significant number of them have Gary Numan's fizzog painted somewhere under the carpets!

The way the Alfa 156 centre console is angled towards the driver - passengers can't see any of the dials, or the dash dials.

I've always loved that feature on the Volvo S60:

There is a very clever detail on the Mk2 Octavia hatch.

There is a slot in the parcel shelf supports that mean the shelf can be slotted down behind the back seat when it has been removed. Very handy as it means you don't have to leave the shelf at home if your taking something large.

In addition the 3 lines that most BMWs have running either through the lights or as part of the lights.

Easiest spotted in the Z4's

Can briefly be made out on an E46 Front indicator

and other places, but cant find images

Triangular exhausts on the Civic:

The exhaust on a Mondeo ST TDCI is a similarly stupid affair, with a ring of metal designed to look like the tip of an exhaust, but then a fully cut away section behind it with a little black pea-shooter exhaust turned down towards the ground. If you stand near the back of the car and look into the "exhaust" you can see right through this crappy little facade. I suppose they need to put an exhaust like that on it though, to hide the black smog they belch out when revved.

You can just about make it out here, this is the only photo I could find

I remember posting this on a similar thread when I first joined biggrin

The way Invicta used the rear lights from a Passat (turned on their side) for the rear of the S1 so that the reversing lights and indicators form a "I" symbol:

I personally like the fact that some of the more modern hatchbacks have hidden Exhausts, the C4 and MK7 Fiesta are 2 I know that have this.
