The more I think about it, the more I think we've had a picture of S4 on this thread. Knowing its on an A4 seemed familiar.
Don't think so. We had S5, on an Audi A6 tho

I know someone- Bill Wag****- who has owned WAG 1 and 1 WAG for years. I suppose they would have to go in 'the other thread' now!

A lesson in how to tell the difference between an S4 and an spec'd up A4 diesel?* hehe

You'd get the warm feeling of having helped a man on the web get a step closer to his goal. Nothing more, nothing less. Is it in Scotland?

* I've never seen it, but its showing up as being on an A4 Avant, diesel
o

No it's not in Scotland, I only saw the front of it. So didn't know the spec. The owner also has an A8 with a fancy plate. Next time I am passing I will try to get a snap.

You will however make myself, and other number plate enthusiasts happy smile

Fabulous plate. Has a strong hint of 'old money' about it too.

Looking at a car tomorrow (E60 M5) that was previously on plate H1 HOT - any idea if it has featured on this thread? Just trying to find out a little about past ownership and thought this may have cropped up, would be nice to know if he was a PH'er.

Plus when I put this plate into any of the 'free car data check' sites it comes back with nothing. Does this happen when a personal plate is not assigned to a car?

There was a series of JVS 1D, 2D, 3D and 4D owned by John V Story estate agents in north Essex in the 1960/70's. JVS 1D was on a Rolls Royce, the rest were on company Cortinas IRRC. I believe all the plates originaly came from milk floats owned by a dairy in Clacton - could be wrong though - that was in my Yooof years which was a while ago
