I don't know how this stuck in my head, but...
About 20 years ago I read an article about this car, I think in Classic & Sportscar magazine. The car was (then) a one-owner vehicle, and the guty was recalling how the dealer phoned the local licensing office to ask for a 'real good' plate! They said that the OXO series had mostly gone to commercial vehicles, but if he was not supersticious, 13 was still available. The dealer later had a call from the office supervisor asking him to stop approaching his staff for good plates for his posh cars!
If only that were possible today, DVLA now milking that cash cow for all its worth!About 20 years ago I read an article about this car, I think in Classic & Sportscar magazine. I'm 99% sure I've seen this car before and have a photo of it somewhere. I'll have a dig around tomorrow and post my pic if I've got it This spot is actually from a few years ago. I used to have to get 2 buses home from school - in between getting them I would wait in Westerham (where the 2nd bus picked me up) and was passed by this car most days

Saw this a few weeks ago on Hammersmith Flyover. Seemed particulary appropriate as it was a very hot day. Mr Walls perhaps?
