Apologies, not a great picture, and not a supercar by any means.

Corolla T-Sport TTE Compressor. Don't think they made that many of these, so certainly a rarity.

500 total, 250 to the UK by all accounts.
I'm surprised I have never heard of this... I did some work at Toyota GB in 2007, and they have quite sexy offices with lots of glass and cars parked around inside the building like a huge dealership... i was struck by how dull every single model was, there was literally not a single interesting car in the place. Very dull manufacturer, or were for a while anyway, hopefully now on the mend with this new coupe thingy.

It really is an F40. Came out of a collection and registered in 2001. Currently in bits (still) so wouldn't have been the one seen.

as in 2001 reg? Would that not be an F50?
It may not have been registered until 2001.

I have been on holiday in New York which has absolutely no supercars whatsoever so in desperation I had heard of a town called Greenwich in Connecticut, about an hour North of the big apple by train and therefore off I hopped on a Monday afternoon and to my complete surprise I saw this in the distance about 20 minutes after I arrived:

I know the shot is awful but that was all I saw and then it was gone frown

Parked in Monaco, the driver came back just after I took the photo, he was in his late 20's.

249 now, I'm sure a PH'er had one of these that got smashed up by gypsies who wanted to steal his sat nav or something, but they damaged the car so much it was a write off.

Saw a MP4-12C in the wild this morning, just round the corner from me, I was amazed given how slippery it was out.

Still, not as amazed as I was by my neighbour taking his F430 out the other morning. I can now say for certain a 2l Mondeo is *MUCH* faster than a Ferrari on icy roads

The meat packing area of NY has plenty of supercars, did you not go there?

Of course I went there, but it was just things like GTR, Camaro SS etc, didn't find anything hugely special. Anyway I didn't go to NYC to car spot.
