What went wrong with the sale? Mine is open to offers...

Straight up, it is for sale, two years left on warranty, cheaper than anything of the same vintage from any dealer.

Annoyingly the only one in my area is massively over priced, and when I say massively I mean massively, they want 6.5k for a 56 reg or 8.5k if you don't have a part ex. They must be stupid, considering I could get a well specced 58 reg with 12k miles on it for 6k that is 37 miles away.

In fact here it is, http://finance.autoexposure.co.uk/drilldown.cfm?Ac...

Saw it in person and it is in shocking condition (poor thing)

The current Mrs Pwig calls hers 'Frankie' as it's an angry little Italian biggrin

That's ridiculous money! The no P/X price is more than double what I paid for mine (mine's an 07). I did find that though when looking, some dealers really seem unaware as to what they are worth. I've seen one particular one sat for maybe 3 months, at the same price. Silly money.

I've never bought a car closer to home than 37 miles.

My little red beastie might be for sale in 2-3 weeks time. 07 car, 14.5k miles from new, all by me. Nothing wrong with it whatsoever. It has the ultra rare ESP option, Side/Windows airbags option and stereo upgrade option. It is rare to find another in the country with these options. (I decided if I was going to have a diddy car then I wanted lots of passive safety around me).

Fun removed and weight added. Weird.

Is James Mays Panda the 100bhp model? I like them a lot, but would want a lengthy test drive before i parted with my hard earned.

You own a TVR for crying out loud. You can't call yourself a real tiv owner if you want namby pamby safety features.

Not weird, just different priorities to you. The Panda is my around town car. As it is a 3 NCAP star car without the extras I elected to improve my chances. The ESP rarely cuts in and prevents fun - if you know how to drive without losing traction there is no issue. I would choose ABS/ESP on the TVR if it were an option.

I feel far safer driving the TVR. People see you coming and think you're speeding and don't pull out on you. People hear you coming and notice you. No 'sorry mate I didn't see you' syndrome. Driving around in the Panda or our Golf GTI, both bright red, I may as well be invisible.
