Cars tall people won't fit in.

Well clarkson somehow manages to fit in an exige so I guess you can, its not easy though (not even for the shorter people)
Didn't think of Clarkson actually. I'm quite a bit slimmer than him too which should make things easier. The chap who went to test drive his dream car (Miura) and couldn't fit in made me think about this.
I'm 6ft 4 going on 5 so most cars are rather uncomfortable for me. Unfortunately I've not driven all that many cars in the grand scheme of things but here's a few worth remarking on anyway:
Mk2 MR2 - Best small sports car I've tried. My legs are a little cramped but overall loads of room! Part of why I've now owned 4!
Mk1 MX5 - had to fit a very small steering wheel & even then only just driveable. Legs rammed up against the wheel, couldn't really drive it particularly hard. Wouldn't own one (unless changing the seat for a smaller one or something to that effect).
MG ZT - Driveable and relatively comfy but left leg jammed up against centre console. It's perfectly useable but feels very cramped. We've ended up buying a new family car because of it.
Mk1 Fiat Punto - my first car & best of any small cars I've tried - Clios, Corsas etc were a no-go. Even things like Pumas are undriveable.
Drove a 360CS on an experience day once which was awesome & I did drive it at pace, but uncomfortable. If I ever owned one I'd have to look into a different wheel or seat.
Almost all post-2002 ish cars, of any sort, are uncomfortably cramped feeling for me!

I'm 6'5 and owned a Vx220 for 2 years. No problem with that so I imagine an Elise would be the same. Be aware though that it will take you a few days to find the best way to get in and out to suit yourself, after that it's fine. I did try getting in the passenger side a couple of times though and struggled due to not having the right technique for that side.
Never been in an Elise but been in a few VX220s now, fitted ok but not lots of rooms, im 6'2 and powerfully built.
Corsa Bs are a no no, but more because my feet are too big than actual room. Saxos and 10bs can be a bit uncomfortable too in that regard.
Biggest suprise of all is the Daihatsu Copen. Me and a mate whos only a touch shorter than me sat in one for a laugh thinking it would be ridiculously small and however the planets aligned, the seat and steering wheel were in a position where it was perfect for me. I honestly think it was the best driving position ive had in any car.
Hyundai coupe windscreens are a bit too low, as is the new beetle, never could get comfortable in that and the back seats in a mark 2 discovery annoy me, my eye line is right where the top of the side window is so looking out isnt great.

I'm always browsing the classifieds like I'm sure most on here are. I always think about whether or not I will fit in some cars though as I'm 6'5.
So what are the height limits for certain cars? I'm sure some on here must have some experience.
Would I fit in an Elise?
Definitely not, I'm 6'6" and it's impossible to get behind the wheel in one of those, just can't get the seat back far enough to get the legs underneath to reach the pedals. So what are the height limits for certain cars? I'm sure some on here must have some experience.

Can just about squeeze into the passenger seat.
6'5" and I can't fit in an RX7. I was at a car show years ago and a pushy salesman was giving me his spiel. I said, if I can fit in it I will buy it. He was trying to force the door shut door against my shoulder with both hands.
C4 Corvettes are also out. I can fit in an MX5, but only with the roof down as I need to peer over the top of the windscreen to see where I am going.
