The rear of red Aston looks like a 370Z.

370Z + V8 Vantage = This

Agreed. That back end is nissan through and through. It's got none of the class of the DB9 design that's the basis for all the current ones. It's not _ugly_ but it's far too "me too" for a proper Aston. And it's got a mouth like a guppy.

Definitely the colour palete of the moment - pale greys and greens, as here and on the Morgan 4/4 Sports & 3 Wheelers.

Is the roof double-bubbled? I can't tell from the photos.

Yes, I know you can get them on a Pug now, but they are still cool.

Why do they stick with Zagato ? The last good looking car they produced was about thirty years ago.

It's not the first time we have seen concept cars called Zig and Zag - Ford has already done it:

i want to take the wheel designer at gaydon aside and tell him/her how utterly inappropriate recent aston wheel designs are

as if the v12 vantage wasn't bad enough they offer these?

Fail

Completely agree.

If I could ever afford a V12 Vantage, (which I can't) the first thing I'd do is fit the wheels from an earlier V8 Vantage.

Looks like a cross between a 370Z, a GTR and an Aston.....and yet still looks painfully similar to all other Astons...yawwwwwwwwn!

i quite like the looks of it, a smaller boot lid style spoiler would be better than the snowboard currently strapped on the back of it. but then I could be considered as an uneducated 'yoouf' compared to the acquired tastes some of you longstanding forum members have. wink

the wheels in this CGI model are naff, but could end up being changed, as could the spoiler, buy the time production begins. And im sure its not like there wont be an options list for upgrading the wheels on it through the sales team either.

The last time i didn’t have an option to change the wheels on a new car was when i picked it up from the scrappy . . . . but only because it came without any rims! biggrin

the back end of it reminds me of a pissed of storm trooper or an angry Transformer

Then you'd find that you'd have to put £15,000 of pads and discs in the bin since the CCM discs & pads on the V12 will not fit inside the V8 wheels.

Each to their own!

Between the Zagato and the 458 Spider I'm all spent for the next two decades.

Gotta run, kettle's whistling and I'm starving for my Ramen...

Really? Despite both being 19" diameter?

I assume it's an offset issue then?

Either way, I'd find a way to keep the CCM brakes and still change the V12 wheels.

No offence intended, I just think they are a bit 'bling' for an Aston Martin.

I always fantasised about winning the lottery and strolling into Bristol cars, ordering a Fighter Turbo Supercharged and when it was delivered driving it straight down to Zagato to do tear it apart and do their best.

Spending it in style.

Amazing.

Yes Zig and Zag were fantastic.

Not sure about the car though. Bet it looks amazing in the flesh, without the wing.

I rated it 10 principally for the Zig and Zag picture. Maybe Lotus should hire them for promotional work instead of some dodgy muso.
