Lovely looking piece of kit, but £150,000 is a lot of money for a kit car...

A straight-six is a perfect choice for an English sports car.

We had a brief chat with the owner of a T440/Typhon/whatever in Sees on the way back from Le Mans a few years ago - dark grey/green from memory.
That was me. I had the luck to be working for LNT at the time and had blagged the job of driving the T440 down to Le Mans and back that year. I can confirm it goes like the proverbial off a shiny shovel, turns more heads than anything else I have ever driven. Great car all round and good to see it back on the road.

It just begs the question, why arent TVR's being made any more ?
I think if they had been building LS7 engined versions like this one http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2303634.htm rather than actually making the motor themselves, they would probably still me making cars. Looking back, they must all see the decision to make the straight six as the point the final fling started...

oh my god!!!

How can that wreck ever be allowed back on the road? or am i missing something.
If the car was 75k when new how can it now be worth 150k? The car has no heritage, no supercharger and its no quicker than a Tuscan S.
'If the car sells for 150k it will have a new engine fitted'!!!! I would have thought it should have one as a matter of course, or will the one that been smashed up be left in?

A basic new Maclaren or this wreck..... umm let me think!
From what I know of TVRs I think the phrase "they all do that sir" is apropriate. I have lost count of the wrecked TVRs I have seen/heard about.

Just followed one through our local town. Had to google it to check I was right about what it was. Grey like the one in the OP , but without the damage. T440TVR reg plate, lovely crackling engine note, and driven by a very attractive young(ish) lady. Made my day.

No, Scottish Borders. But left pointing vaguely North East.

I think it was a (playful) dig at me for answering a thread from 2011.
