They'd certainly have been better using the Queen logo instead of that horrendous gold "e" they stuck on the pillar of the supercharged Exige.

Great cause, poor delivery, which rather undermines the value of what they are trying to do. I can understand why they are supporting the charity as Brian May was at the launch of the new cars in Paris last year and a nice chap he is too.

It really really pains me to say it but Lotus seem to becoming the "Eurotrash" of sports car brands, Antoine de Caune will be springing up next...

This may be because of the Live Aid connection, but is anyone else seeing Bob Geldof in that pic?

I'd love to know which member of the so-called royal family would be seen dead within 500 miles of a Lotus.

Although I believe one of them used to to be a fan of Scimitar and Big-ears dabbled with Astons before they sank to the junior footballer and tacky arab league.

You guys forgot one pun TWICE! Namely "Lotus announces its latest charitable donation for the hammer to fall on: a bespoke Evora S for the Mercury Phoenix Trust.

and the second one, which is not exactly a song title but clearly based on it!

"Although the auctioneer's final hammer will not fall until late into the night of September 5th"

Well done though, I'm sure there must be more puns in that release! Which bored or overtly creative media executive spend all of his valuable time putting this together ( while at the same time saying to his colleagues "don't stop me know")? Jeez, give these guys some extra work..
